Chapter 17 - Chapter 17 : The Awakening

Dan woke up suddenly from his sleep. Something was wrong. His whole body was burning. He felt a massive wave of heat overwhelming him from the inside, as if a fire was burning in his bones, his blood, and every cell of his body. He sat on the edge of his bed quickly, gasping, sweat pouring from his forehead despite the coldness of the night.

"What is this?" he thought in panic. Was it a disease? Did something hit him? Was the Vitality Seal causing problems? The heat was increasing and became unbearable. He felt like he would burn from the inside. He jumped from his mat and ran out of the hut. He felt he needed water, coldness, or anything to stop this rising heat.

Dan ran at full speed toward the water hole and jumped without hesitation, diving deep into the cold water. But something strange happened. The water around him began to evaporate. Many bubbles formed around his body, and the water was actually boiling from the intense heat radiating from him. Dan looked around in shock. How was this possible?

But now he had no time to think. The heat was still increasing, and his body began to suffer from dehydration. Quickly, he opened his mouth and started drinking water. He drank greedily, in massive quantities, swallowing liters of water in minutes. The process continued for a long time—maybe half an hour, maybe more. Dan remained submerged and drinking, drinking without stopping, trying to cool his body, hydrate it, and stay alive.

Slowly, the temperature began to drop. The heat that was burning him from the inside started to calm down and gradually fade away. He took a deep breath of relief. But suddenly, he felt something else. Hunger. A massive, wild, unbearable hunger. It was as if his body hadn't eaten for weeks, as if every cell in him was screaming for food.

He jumped out of the water quickly, his body dripping, and dashed toward his hut. He entered forcefully and grabbed the dried mutton he had recently slaughtered and hung in the corner of the hut after drying. He started eating. He ate without stopping, with wild greed, tearing the meat with his teeth and swallowing it quickly. He continued for a full half hour. Half an hour of continuous eating, without stopping, without thinking, until nothing remained but small pieces of meat. Almost an entire sheep. He ate it in half an hour.

Finally, the wave of hunger subsided. Dan sat on the floor, gasping, his hand on his stomach. His mind began to regain its rationality, thinking about what happened. What was this? The massive heat, the dehydration, and then the wild hunger? But before he could think more, he noticed something. He looked at the long strands of his hair hanging before his eyes and froze.

The color had changed. It was no longer black. It was... sky blue. He rubbed his eyes well, thinking he was imagining it. But no. It was real. His hair was sky blue, shiny, and clear. Because of his strong vision and because the night was moonlit, it was unlikely he was mistaken.

Dan jumped powerfully toward the nearby river. He reached the edge and looked at his reflection in the water. He gasped. His facial features... had changed. Not significantly, but there was a clear change. All his hair, every strand, had turned into a beautiful sky blue color. And his eyes. His eyes, which were brown, had turned blue. A deep, shiny blue, almost glowing in the moonlight.

Dan looked at himself, surprised and shocked. What happened to him? But then, he felt something else. Something new in his body. An ability. An ability that hadn't existed before. He focused on his chakra, trying to sense it. He was stunned. It seemed different—stronger, denser, and easier to control.

He tried to form a chakra thread. It formed immediately, very thin, much thinner than what he could do before. Then he tried to form thousands of threads at the same time. Easy. Without any effort. And he could control them all with amazing precision. His ability to manipulate chakra increased to a terrifying level. It wasn't just on a general level, but on a much finer one.

Then he checked his chakra reserves and was shocked even more. It doubled. No, more than doubled. Six times what it was before tonight. Six times. His reserves, which were already large, were now massive. Dan stood there, looking at his reflection in the water, his blue hair, and his blue eyes. Then slowly, he began to realize what happened.

A Bloodline Limit (Kekkei Genkai). He had awakened a bloodline limit. He knew about this phenomenon from watching the anime. Certain families in the Naruto world possess bloodline limits—inherited abilities in their genes that grant them special powers. The Sharingan, the Byakugan, and many others. But he was an ordinary person from another world. So how...?

Then he remembered. The Vitality Seal. The seal feeds his cells, develops them, and changes them at a deep level. The blood saturated with healing chakra circulates constantly, changing his body and evolving it. Perhaps, just perhaps, this continuous evolution led to changing his genes themselves. It seems he created a new bloodline limit, one that had never existed before. His own limit.

Dan smiled slowly. Then the smile began to widen. Wider and wider, until he was smiling from ear to ear. A massive joy filled his chest. A bloodline limit. His own limit. A limit that enables him to reach superhuman chakra control at a cellular level. A limit that increases the amount of chakra significantly.

For Dan, this was an achievement he never expected or planned for. But it was welcome. More than welcome. This meant he had become much stronger. Not just in physical strength, but in control, in chakra, and in his reserves. Dan sat on the ground, still smiling. He looked at the sky, at the full moon.

"A bloodline limit," he whispered to himself, "my own limit." He felt the chakra flowing in his body, stronger than ever. "Cellular control. Massive reserves." He laughed quietly. "This... this will change everything." He looked at his hands, at the chakra he could shape so easily. "I will become much stronger now. Stronger than I ever imagined."

He stood up slowly. Tonight, everything changed. Tonight, a new bloodline limit was born. Dan's limit. The Sky Blue Limit.
