Ficool

Chapter 27 - Chapter 26

Reinhardt stood alone on the balcony for a moment, the cool night air of the Underworld ruffling his hair. His senses, sharpened by his evolved Phoenix bloodline, suddenly spiked. He didn't need a radar to know that a familiar, icy-cool mana was lurking in the shadows of the corridor.

With a smirk, Reinhardt vanished in a flicker of crimson sparks. He reappeared silently directly behind the figure, wrapping his arms firmly around her waist.

"Fia," he whispered into her ear, "did you miss me that much?"

Grayfia Lucifuge, the strongest woman of the House of Lucifuge, stiffened for a fraction of a second—her combat instincts almost taking over—before she felt the unmistakable warmth of Reinhardt's aura. She relaxed into his touch, turning around in his arms to face him. Her silver hair shimmered as she looked into his eyes and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Yes," she whispered, her usual stoic mask crumbling just for him.

Reinhardt pulled back slightly, his eyes narrowing. "Have you been going to the front lines during this time?"

Grayfia opened her mouth to give a diplomatic lie, but Reinhardt didn't give her the chance. "Stay still."

He channeled a pulse of his Phoenix mana through her. His expression darkened as he detected the faint, lingering traces of trauma on her skin. He gently turned her around, his fingers tracing the jagged scars on her back—wounds from high-level demonic spells that even her natural healing hadn't fully erased.

"You fool," Reinhardt's voice cracked with a mix of anger and grief. "What if something happened to you? You're out there fighting for a faction while I'm here building an empire for us. You idiot."

Grayfia was stunned. In the cold world of the Lucifuge, she was a weapon, a shield, or a servant. To see Reinhardt looking teary-eyed over her safety made her heart ache. "I am sorry, Rein..."

Reinhardt didn't answer with words. He opened his System panel, his fingers flying across the interface.

He grabbed her wrist and snapped the elegant, silver-and-ruby bracelet onto her arm. "Don't you dare remove it," he warned, his voice low. "Or else."

Grayfia, feeling the immense protective power radiating from the jewelry, looked up at him with a shy, playful glint. "Or else... what?"

"Or else I will spank your ass until you can't sit for a week," Reinhardt replied flatly.

Grayfia's face exploded into a brilliant crimson. She instinctively reached back to cover herself, her eyes wide with embarrassment. Reinhardt chuckled and pulled her back in, kissing her forehead tenderly.

"You came here because you missed me, didn't you?"

Grayfia looked down, her blush deepening, but she gave a small, honest nod.

Reinhardt cupped her cheek, his thumb stroking her skin. "Wait until the civil war officially breaks out, my love. I will pull you out of that Lucifuge mess. I will make sure you are safe from everyone—the Old Satans and the Anti-Maous alike."

Grayfia nodded, leaning into his hand. They stood there in the quiet mansion, locked in a tight embrace that spoke more than any treaty ever could. After a long, lingering kiss that tasted of longing and ice-fire, Grayfia stepped back into a teleportation circle, leaving as silently as she had arrived.

[Affection Maxed: Grayfia Lucifuge]

Hidden Status: She will now act as your primary mole within the Anti-Maou Faction. New Objective: The Civil War is 48 hours away from the "Point of No Return."

The morning of the Civil War dawned not with a sunrise, but with the dark, suffocating pressure of millions of magical signatures clashing across the Underworld. The sky was stained a bruised purple, and the winds carried the scent of sulfur and impending slaughter.

Inside the Bael-Phenex mansion, the atmosphere was one of cold, surgical readiness. Reinhardt stood before his legion, his golden eyes glowing with the power of the Primordial Phoenix. Before him stood the most dangerous collection of women in the multiverse, each now clad in Divine-Tier Artifact Armor he had custom-ordered from the System.

From Artoria's radiant dragon-scale plates to Albedo's abyssal obsidian mail and the Pleiades' enchanted tactical maid uniforms, they looked less like a household and more like a pantheon of war goddesses.

"Ready, my loves?" Reinhardt asked, his voice echoing with authority.

The collective blush that swept through the ranks didn't soften their killing intent. "Yes, honey," they replied in a chillingly synchronized chorus.

The Command at the War Camp

They arrived at the joint Bael-Phenex war camp, a massive sprawling fortress of tents and magical batteries. The soldiers of the Great King Zeckram and the Patriarch Cassius parted like the Red Sea, trembling as Reinhardt and his elite circle marched through.

Reinhardt turned to his generals, his face hardening into a mask of destruction. "The time for politics is over. Don't spare anyone wearing the crest of the Old Satans. If they breathe, they are a target."

He paused, his gaze softening for a split second. "However... if you find Grayfia Lucifuge, protect her at all costs. She is one of your sisters."

Albedo tilted her head, a dark but curious smile on her lips. "She is the one you spoke of, Rein? One of our sisters in service to you?"

"Yes," Reinhardt replied, glancing at Yuri Alpha. "And Yuri, you'll find her interesting. She has the same level of obsession with maid duties and perfection as you do."

Yuri Alpha adjusted her glasses, a rare spark of competitive interest in her eyes. "Is that so? Another who understands the sanctity of the uniform... I look forward to meeting her, Rein."

Deployment of the Legion

Reinhardt began barking out orders, mapping the battlefield with his mind.

The Vanguards: "Lancer, Feixiao, Albedo, Scáthach—each of you take a platoon of the Bael Garrison. You are the tip of the spear. Break their formations, hunt their High-Class leaders, and leave nothing but craters." The Support & Siege: "Morgan, Katerea, and the Pleiades—provide long-range magical bombardment and secure our supply lines. If a single enemy scout survives, it's on your heads." The Goddess's Overlook: Reinhardt turned to Kaguya Otsutsuki, who was floating serenely above the ground, her Byakugan already scanning the entire continent. "Kaguya, stay in the periphery. Watch over the girls. If any of them are overwhelmed or if a Great Satan-level threat appears, intervene immediately."

Kaguya drifted down, her long white hair swaying in the mana-heavy wind. She leaned in and pressed a cold, soft kiss to his cheek. "As you wish, honey. Your stars will not fall this day."

Reinhardt nodded, his hand gripping the hilt of Ryujin Jakka. The blade thrummed, sensing the massive harvest of souls about to begin.
