"Why don't I have the right?" Alaric Davenport demanded. "Our marriage certificate is still valid. You can't have married him."
Rosalind Lowell scoffed. "You mean this?"
She held up her hand, showing him the ring. "Your son helped me put this on."
Alaric Davenport looked at her, a mixture of surprise and joy on his face. 'So I still have a chance?'
"It was you. You were with another woman, so why are you still bothering me?"
'Another woman?'
Alaric Davenport frowned. 'What woman? I've been living alone for almost four years. Where would another woman have come from?'
"Have you seen any other women here today?"
His question took Rosalind Lowell aback. 'Now that he mentions it, I guess I haven't.'
"Then who was that woman you were with on New Year's Eve?"
"Oh, her..." It took Alaric Davenport a moment to remember. "She's Xiao Mu's child psychologist," he explained.
Rosalind Lowell was puzzled. "He's so young. Why would he need a child psychologist?"
