Rosalind Lowell remembered him mentioning a social media account. When he said this wasn't the first time he'd seen her, he must have meant he'd seen her on it.
"That's just a social media platform..."
Opal nodded. "I know. I just happened to see you by chance and liked you instantly. And then yesterday, I saw you in person."
She saw his scorching gaze fixed on her and immediately looked away. "I'm sorry, Mr. Opal, I can't reciprocate your feelings."
"So the only one you long for is your husband."
Rosalind Lowell looked up at him. "You know I have a husband. Why won't you let me go back to him? I'm sure he's very worried about me."
'She knew Alaric Davenport would move heaven and earth to find her, but they were abroad, and he had no clues to go on. What would he do?'
Opal turned his head away, momentarily at a loss for words.
He was deeply conflicted...
"I want to go back," Rosalind said again.
