"Hasn't she already forgiven me?" Rosalind asked him, puzzled.
Alaric pursed his lips and said nothing.
Rosalind sighed. "It was my own fault for not being careful. If I'd paid more attention, I wouldn't have fallen. I can't put all the blame on other people."
"Rosie, in a situation like that, the priority is always to ensure the model's safety. It really wasn't your fault."
"Just tell Chloe someone deliberately sabotaged her show," Alaric said, his expression calm.
"It was obviously aimed at our Rosie," Elsa Ainsworth chimed in indignantly.
Rosalind looked at Alaric. She understood his implication; this was a plan to leverage Chloe's personality.
"I'll investigate," Alaric said.
"Rosie, can we go see my darling godson?"
Rosalind glanced at Alaric. Work had piled up from being abroad, and business back home couldn't be put on hold, so he had already opened his laptop and begun to work.
Rosalind smiled. "Take me with you."
