"I don't have any scenes this weekend, so I'm free. How about we all go for a picnic?"
Alaric Davenport nodded. "Alright."
"That's wonderful!" Crystal Davenport said with a smile.
Rosalind Lowell looked toward Kael Davenport. He had his head down, focused on his food. "What about you, Kael?"
"Fine," he answered faintly.
Rosalind Lowell secretly breathed a sigh of relief, having been afraid he would refuse.
She looked at the two children. "They're old enough for school. I'd like them to go to kindergarten."
Alaric Davenport looked up at her, instantly understanding her intention.
The private tutors he hired were certainly better than any kindergarten, but the children would miss out on the simple joys of a normal childhood. For that reason, he agreed.
"I'm not going."
All eyes turned to Kael Davenport. They hadn't expected him to be the one to refuse.
"Kael, why don't you want to go?" Rosalind Lowell asked gently.
