Rosalind Lowell saw Skylar Morrison's grave expression and asked, "What is it? Did they find us this quickly?"
Skylar Morrison shook his head, looking like he wanted to say something but couldn't.
"Then what is it?"
Skylar Morrison looked at her. "Do you really want to cut ties with your past and start over?"
Rosalind Lowell nodded without a moment's hesitation.
Her face was reflected in Skylar Morrison's eyes. He remained hesitant.

"What if... Kael is in danger..."
Rosalind Lowell immediately shot him down. "That's not possible."
She turned away. In truth, she was terrified, desperate to escape this topic. 'It's not possible...' she told herself again.
Her voice trembled slightly. "Alaric Davenport would never let him be in danger."
