Lucia watched Su Yaoyao, feeling her behavior was a bit odd, though he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.
He frowned slightly, a flicker of doubt in his eyes. But when he saw Su Yaoyao's flushed cheeks, he just assumed the earlier commotion had frightened her and didn't give it any more thought.
Lucia gently took Su Yaoyao's hand. "Yaoyao, that must have scared you. Don't worry, everything's fine now." He then gently led her to the side of the bed and had her sit down, watching her tenderly.
Su Yaoyao forced herself to look calm and squeezed out a smile. "I'm fine, really. But I am a little thirsty." She was trying to hide her inner panic with a casual tone, hoping Lucia would leave the room for a moment so Noah could get out from under her dress.
Upon hearing this, Lucia immediately said, "Wait here, I'll go get you a glass of water." With that, he turned and left the room.
