Seth Sinclair said, "At the school gate."
Lianne breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. It would have been too much of a spectacle otherwise."
She remembered running into him at school last year. He was flanked by a group of tall, imposing bodyguards and driving a discreet luxury car. The whole scene was ostentatious to an inhuman degree.
The library required a campus card for entry. Lianne gave hers to Seth Sinclair while she went through the facial recognition system.
The campus card doubled as a meal card, so it was what everyone used around campus. People rarely carried their student IDs, as there was no need.
Seth Sinclair's fingertip lightly tapped the girl's photo on the card. "How old were you when this was taken?"
"Seventeen." Lianne's campus card still used the photo from when she first enrolled as an undergraduate, which had been taken in her senior year of high school.
