The car window rolled down. The man in black in the driver's seat was Leo Lynn.
He gave her a goofy smile. "Miss Lane, heading home?"
Lianne took two seconds to connect the Imperial Crest Residence with the concept of "home." She nodded. "Yes."
Leo Lynn had been popping up unexpectedly lately. Lianne could guess that Seth Sinclair had ordered him to follow and protect her.
Lianne sat in the back seat, placed the gift bag beside her, and pulled her phone out of her purse to call Seth Sinclair.
It rang for a while, but no one answered.
She blinked, turned off the screen, and was just about to put the phone back in her purse when his call came in.
The car was well soundproofed. Lianne held the phone to her ear and could clearly hear the man's cool tone from the other end. "You called me. If I don't pick up the first time, you don't know to call a second time?"
"You were busy. If the first call doesn't go through, it's impolite to call again," Lianne said.
