Lianne smiled. "Principal plus interest. Mostly interest."
Caden Lowell's features were strong and sharply defined, as if carved from stone. A smile played on his lips, his almond-shaped eyes narrowing slightly. "Little sister, you're not giving your big brother any face at all, are you?"
"I did."
"Oh yeah? Where?"
Lianne nonchalantly tapped her phone screen with a fingertip. Smiling, her tone was even. "I rounded it down for you. By two hundred."
The other guys in the room howled with laughter.
Throughout all of Veridia City, Caden Lowell was on top of the world. Who could afford to cross him? Who would even dare? Yet here he was, being chased down by a girl for a debt. If it were a debt of love, that would be one thing, but this was for actual money.
Caden Lowell kicked out at the guy laughing the loudest, then picked up a glass. He added three ice cubes and poured some rum into it.
"Little sister, don't you get tired of chasing me for this debt day in and day out?"
