Without even putting on a coat, Lianne slipped out of bed, slid her feet into fluffy slippers, and trotted to open the door.
She opened the door.
Seth Sinclair was outside, arms crossed, leaning lazily against the doorframe. His gaze swept over Lianne, lingering for two seconds on the pair of pale, almost glowing calves visible beneath the hem of her nightgown.
'Tsk. She really does glow.'
Seth Sinclair raised an eyebrow. His eyes, as deep and dark as ink, shifted to land on Lianne's fair, flawless face.
"Well, look at this Luminous Pearl. How about I take you home and worship you like a sacred treasure?"
Lianne looked up at him, puzzled.
"What Luminous Pearl? I don't have anything that valuable here."
"Aren't you one? Awake late at night, and glowing."
Seth Sinclair straightened up and strode into the room with a languid gait.
Lianne watched his retreating back, her eyes shifting in confusion.
'Awake late at night + glowing = a Luminous Pearl?'
