In the hallway outside her door, she heard Connor Cheney instructing the heads of the Food and Beverage and Housekeeping departments. They were gossiping, of course. They had to serve Miss Holden perfectly, without a single slip-up. They wondered if she and the CEO were siblings or a couple—was he just an overprotective brother, or was this some grand, romantic gesture to win his true love?
On either side of her suite, Zorro was meeting with the security team to arrange their rotating shifts.
Expanding her senses further, she focused on the floor below.
For security, the rooms on the floor below were all empty. No one had been checked in.
