Cooperation is usually a mutually beneficial affair, so Ivy Holden wasn't opposed to it in principle. But the woman before her was too mysterious, impossible to see through or figure out. A partnership she couldn't fully control was a double-edged sword. Ivy hesitated.
"Miss Holden, do you have any concerns?" Diana Morgan could see Ivy's hesitation.
Ivy Holden sized up Diana Morgan and smiled. "Miss Morgan, cooperation requires sincerity."
"And what kind of sincerity do you need?" Diana Morgan asked.
Ivy Holden glanced at Five, then said to Shelby Roland, "Roland, could you please make us two cups of coffee? Bill, take Five and go for a walk."
Shelby Roland agreed and went into the kitchen, while Bill took Five by the hand and left.
Only Ivy Holden and Diana Morgan remained in the living room.
