This was also the direction envisioned by previous Wizards, but most of their research had failed. The few exceptions were either Casters like Secret Mages who relied on Dimensional Demon Gods, or those who had no Casting Ability of their own and relied on the Magic Net to cast Magic.
Although they could all cast Magic, their Casting Ability wasn't truly their own. If they wished to advance further in the future, they would still have to converge upon the path of a Legendary Mage, and it would be an exceptionally difficult journey.
Although these experiments never truly succeeded, they did provide Isaac with some valuable insights. When combined with the most traditional path of Legendary Mages, it wasn't difficult to see that all these successful cases involved a crucial element: High-Position Existences!
