In the council hall, after Smith, Liu Li, and the Saint Master entered, Isaac got straight to the point. He explained the difference between the two Magic Potions to Smith and then asked him to choose.
After hearing Isaac's words, the three of them wore different expressions. Smith was moved; he never imagined that Isaac's sleepless nights of experimentation had all been for him!
Liu Li remained expressionless… or not entirely. She was somewhat jealous of how well Isaac treated Smith. But unless she was being metaphorically and literally flayed alive, the changes in her expression were always limited to a few pixels' worth, completely unnoticeable even to the eyes of a Transcendent.
As for the Dragon-man Saint Master, he felt a mix of desire, envy, jealousy, and greed—a veritable pie chart of emotions. However, this was all internal. The Saint Master's draconic face was too rigid to express any emotion; only his eyes were richly expressive.
