After purifying two cubs in a row, the Purification Divine Power in Su Yu's body was completely drained.
The feeling of having no Divine Power left was unpleasant. Su Yu saw stars as her slender body swayed. Kasen, anxiously holding the yelping little cubs, was about to step forward and catch her before she could fall.
But Huai Xu, who stood beside her, pulled Su Yu into his arms with practiced ease. He gently cupped her chin, lowered his head to kiss her, and transferred the energy of the Spirit Jade to her.
Kasen froze mid-motion. A flicker of envy and gloom crossed his eyes as he silently withdrew his outstretched hand.
After absorbing the energy of three Spirit Jades, Su Yu finally recovered from the unbearable dizziness.
"Yu Yu, are you all right?" Kasen asked, his voice filled with concern.
"I'm fine, just a little sleepy," Su Yu said, her voice tinged with exhaustion as she relaxed and snuggled into Huai Xu's embrace.
