When the traces were discovered, the patrol Beastmen of the Wing Tiger Tribe immediately called for the other Beastmen in the tribe, and Xun Yu was among them.
Most Exotic Beasts were black, with smooth, hard hides coated in a slimy, toxic liquid. Wherever they lingered or passed, the local flora would corrode and wither, leaving behind large puddles of black ooze.
When Xun Yu arrived, he saw a large clearing that had been corroded into existence, the ground slick with black ooze.
The ooze wasn't just in the clearing; nearby trees, bushes, and the ground itself bore the slimy, corrosive traces of the Exotic Beasts.
The sheer density of the traces was unnerving.
The patrol Beastman's expression was grave. "Judging from the remaining traces of ooze, the number of Exotic Beasts that stopped here was significant—if anything, we're underestimating it."
