Su Yu was startled by the tiger's roar. Xun Yu quickly pulled her into his embrace, gently patting her back to soothe her racing heart.
Then he took out a Spirit Jade, held it in his mouth, and kissed Su Yu, slowly transferring the energy to her and calming her fright.
Su Yu's heart gradually calmed down. She frowned slightly and looked toward the center of the tribe. "Did something happen?"
Xun Yu's expression darkened slightly, a flicker of dissatisfaction with his own Father in his eyes. He carried her toward the stone house. "Don't worry about it. The leader will handle anything that comes up. Your main job right now is to eat."
Hearing him say that, Su Yu didn't suggest they go take a look. She obediently sat by the stone table, watching as Xun Yu bustled in with their meal.
Unlike the half-raw stir-fried pork from the first day, after a few days of practice, Xun Yu could now make a decent meal.
As Su Yu began to eat, a drama was unfolding in the center of the tribe.
