Finding the box where she had stored the fruit pit, Yu An opened it to find it completely empty.
Fortunately, the Cloud Beasts kept detailed records when organizing items. Yu An quickly found the Cloud Beast who had put the box into storage—Little Thirteen.
"It was a fruit pit inside, so I planted it in the ground."
Little Thirteen pointed to a nearby planting area, saying with some vexation, "But it's growing too slowly. The other fruit trees planted at the same time have already borne fruit, but this one has only just sprouted leaves."
And a pitiful three of them at that.
Yu An was surprised. "Sprouted... no, it's already grown into a tree?"
Little Thirteen led them over for a look, and Yu An recognized it as the sapling that had been growing in the bok choy patch.
At the time, neither she nor Ao Wu knew what kind of tree it was, so they had just let it grow.
