Yu An asked doubtfully, "What is this?"
"An'an, do you remember Female Mother saying that Beast Father once got a strange fruit? He ate it, and that's how he's been able to live in that state until now."
"So..."
Yu An held the box, asking uncertainly, "This is the pit from that fruit?"
"Yes," Han Li nodded. "Beast Father tried to plant it in the caves, but nothing changed. He planted it for over a decade, and when he dug it up, it looked exactly the same."
"Female Mother knows you have a Wood Element Ability, so she had Beast Father give me this pit to see if you could get it to grow."
Han Xiaoyun couldn't say for sure what the fruit did, but the fact that it could save a life made it worth having Yu An try to plant it.
'If simply planting it in the soil won't make it sprout, what about using a superpower to coax it along?'
On the way back, Yu An continuously channeled her superpower into the pit, but unfortunately, it showed no change.
