"I am not!" Shi Li immediately got flustered. 'If word got out that I was getting jealous of some hypothetical rival for no reason, Shi Zhiyan would laugh at me until next year!'
'No, he'd laugh at me until the year after next!'
"Your reaction says you are. Are you going to tell me, or should I guess?" Shi Zhiyan understood at once. He'd had his suspicions before.
But now, Shi Li's reaction was all the confirmation he needed.
"I'll guess, then."
"You suspect I have someone on the side?" Shi Zhiyan leaned in close to Shi Li's face, voicing his suspicion.
If Shi Li wasn't jealous, why else would she be feeling this way?
"How could you? You wouldn't dare." Shi Li's eyes went wide, and she shoved Shi Zhiyan's shoulder hard.
"Exactly. I wouldn't dare. So, what are you worried about?" Shi Zhiyan said with a clear conscience. Even Shi Li herself had said he wouldn't dare.
'That's right, how could I possibly do something like that?'
