Mr. Pei's words were polite, but in truth, he hadn't given Su Yuhan any choice at all.
She had to cook this meal, whether she wanted to or not.
Su Yuhan swept her gaze across the people in the private room, her eyes finally settling back on Mr. Pei.
"Fine. However, I have one condition."
"Please, Miss Su."
"Whether Old Sir Pei is satisfied with the meal I prepare or not—in other words, whether or not I end up taking the job of catering his banquet—I hope you and your family can keep my involvement a secret. I want as few people as possible to know I had anything to do with this."
The moment Su Yuhan finished speaking, before Mr. Pei could respond, Pei Xiuyi's face darkened as he snapped, "Is cooking for our family something to be ashamed of?"
"Of course not." Su Yuhan didn't elaborate, keeping her gaze fixed on Mr. Pei.
