"Have you noticed? The path is getting wider and wider."
After they had walked for some time, Xi finally noticed.
The distance between the black walls seemed to grow, forming one open square after another.
"That's right. The deeper we go, the wider the path gets."
The rabbit Li Luo was holding kept kicking its legs, as if trying to rush deeper in, but she held it firmly in her grasp.
"It's not just that..." Xi gently tapped the black wall. "The medicinal smell is getting stronger too."
"Is it coming from the depths of the maze?" Li Luo asked.
"I'm not sure... It's very strong, and it feels like it's coming from multiple sources."
Xi couldn't pinpoint the source of the scent either. He only felt the medicinal aroma growing stranger and murkier. His own healing power was being heavily interfered with and suppressed.
"Let's keep going. I have a feeling we're close to finding the source of that smell."
"Alright."
