The figures in the fog said no more. They just watched Mo Ling quietly, their expressions incredibly complex.
It was as if they couldn't hear Mo Ling's words at all.
Suddenly, Mo Ling felt the figures had lost all sense of realism.
'What's the point of me talking to them?'
No longer hesitating, Mo Ling looked at the figures. Wherever his gaze fell, square voids of fog appeared out of thin air. The dazed, grumbling figures vanished, one after another.
This time, they didn't prattle on about things like eternal life. Mo Ling's ears finally found some peace.
The figures disappeared one after another. They didn't resist or hide, simply standing there and letting Mo Ling teleport them away.
Slowly, only the little girl blocking Mo Ling's path remained.
