Back at the hotel, Damian Xavier placed Aria Sterling on the bed. He then called the front desk, and a hotel attendant soon arrived with some topical ointment.
Damian Xavier took the ointment and began applying it to the swollen area on Aria Sterling's foot.
"You don't have to. I'll do it myself." Aria Sterling pulled her foot away, refusing his help.
Damian Xavier paused, stopping what he was doing.
"Remember not to wear high heels again tomorrow," he instructed, setting the ointment aside.
Aria Sterling nodded, her gaze averted.
"When are we going back?" she asked.
Damian Xavier, who had been about to stand up, froze. He looked up at her, and maybe it was just her imagination, but his expression instantly turned cold. "If you want to fly back with Julian Grant tomorrow morning, you can just say so. It would certainly save me the trouble of having to take care of you."
Aria Sterling's face stiffened. "What did you say?"
