"Alright, alright. Young people have their own way of thinking. Let's eat first." Mr. Caldwell said no more, giving his wife a meaningful look.
After dinner, a maid from the Shaw family brought out fruit. Mr. Caldwell and Damian Xavier continued to chat about business, and before they knew it, it was past ten o'clock at night.
Seeing Damian Xavier get up to leave, Mya Walsh hurried after him.
"Damian, it's so late. I'm worried about you driving alone. Why don't you... stay the night?" A faint blush appeared on Mya Walsh's face. She didn't need to say another word; Damian Xavier knew exactly what she was implying.
By then, Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell had already gone upstairs, leaving the two of them alone in the living room—clearly a deliberate move to give them some privacy.
