Long Ao sensed that something was very wrong.
Knowing how eager Duan Kai was, Long Ao found it hard to imagine why he would simply give up such a golden opportunity.
Before Long Ao could even go find Duan Kai, Duan Kai and Duan He had already come to him in person.
This made Long Ao all the more curious. He had no idea what game the Imperial City was playing.
"Brother Duan, the Imperial City suddenly pulled back. What on earth happened?"
For some reason, when Long Ao saw the grave expressions on Duan Kai and Duan He's faces, his heart sank. 'Something major must have happened,' he thought. 'Otherwise, the Imperial City wouldn't have retreated so easily.'
"Sect Leader Long, there's something you don't know."
With a helpless, bitter laugh, Duan Kai continued, "Sect Leader Long, the decennial Beast Tide has suddenly arrived early. According to the prior agreement among the Four Great Forces, all grudges must be set aside to face the Beast Tide together."
Beast Tide?
