Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Ten Thousand Realms Divine Net, Online Class; Interaction and Competition

HISS...

The Divine Domain Connection Pod opened, and a thick white mist dispersed.

Zhang Yi stepped out of the Divine Domain Connection Pod.

'At this rate, the Wood Elves in my Divine Realm should have no problem passing the Blue Star Will's assessment.'

'Now that the issue of survival is taken care of,

the next step is to increase the Wood Elves' attack power.'

'After all, the school's Divine Realm assessment is at the end of next month!'

'The results of the first Divine Realm assessment will determine our class assignments.'

'Our performance will decide which class we're placed in—

whether it's the honors class, the advanced class, or a regular class. It all comes down to the results of that first assessment.'

'Even though your class can change later based on performance,

getting a head start is crucial!'

'The school definitely funnels more resources into the honors classes than the advanced or regular ones.'

'Trying to catch up later from an advanced or regular class is nearly impossible unless you have a powerful family backing you or get some lucky break in your Divine Realm within the Subspace!'

'But for the most part, the results of that first assessment determine your standing in the school for the next two years!'

Therefore, Zhang Yi couldn't possibly overstate the importance of the Divine Realm assessment at the end of next month.

This month, Zhang Yi had already loaded a Four-Star Resource Card,

but before the end of next month, he would have one more opportunity to load a Divine Card into his Divine Realm.

At that time, besides the three Resource Cards his parents had given him today,

three exclusive Divine Cards for the Wood Elves would also be arriving tomorrow.

Among those three Divine Cards, there was bound to be one that could significantly boost the Wood Elves' combat power!

After thinking it through and realizing he could safely pass the Blue Star Will's assessment now that his Divine Realm was established,

Zhang Yi's mood brightened considerably.

He even felt confident about being summoned to his homeroom teacher Guo Aiqing's office for a "chat" tomorrow.

Early the next morning, Zhang Yi got up on time.

After washing up and eating breakfast at home,

Zhang Yi returned to his room, lay down in the Divine Domain Connection Pod, and logged into the Ten Thousand Realms Divine Net!

On the Ten Thousand Realms Divine Net, he found his class group chat and saw the invitation code sent by his homeroom teacher.

Zhang Yi clicked the invitation code and entered the Subspace!

The next moment, Zhang Yi arrived as a Subspace projection inside a massive school filled with the architectural flair of the Xia Country!

That's right. Schools didn't just exist in the real world; they were in the Subspace as well.

Furthermore, in the Main World, the suppression from the Blue Star Will prevented any Divine Being from unleashing their full strength.

In the Subspace, however, they could unleash their Power without restraint.

That was why students were only required to be physically present at the real-world school for major events like the Divine Realm Awakening Ceremony or the final assessment!

Once Zhang Yi's consciousness fully integrated with the Subspace, the school scene before him became incredibly clear.

The architecture of Golden City First High School featured a symmetrical structural design.

A central dome soared into the clouds.

Fusing traditional Xia Country architectural style with cutting-edge technology, the campus was a magnificent sight. Its vermilion walls and blue-tiled, upturned eaves exuded classical charm, while the interior housed state-of-the-art facilities.

In the center of the campus plaza stood three colossal statues, each representing one of the school's past principals who had made outstanding contributions during their tenure.

Their eyes seemed to watch over every student who passed by.

Zhang Yi took a deep breath and headed toward the academic building.

"Zhang Yi!" a familiar voice called out from behind him.

Zhang Yi turned to see his classmate, Sima Yuan, hurrying toward him.

"Before school let out yesterday, the homeroom teacher specifically told you to go see her today. So? Are you nervous?"

Zhang Yi shook his head. "To be honest, I was definitely nervous yesterday when my Divine Realm first awakened. But after last night, I'm not nervous at all!"

Hearing this, Sima Yuan slung a heavy arm around Zhang Yi's shoulders.

"That's just like you, acting so cool about it!"

Zhang Yi couldn't help but smile at his friend's remark.

"So, how'd it go?"

"Did you manage to pass the Blue Star Will's assessment when you got home last night?"

Sima Yuan, who had been smiling, immediately looked crestfallen at Zhang Yi's question, his expression turning gloomy.

Zhang Yi, however, remained completely unfazed by his friend's demeanor.

After ten-odd seconds, Sima Yuan still hadn't gotten the concerned inquiry he was waiting for from Zhang Yi.

Finally, Sima Yuan himself couldn't keep the act up any longer. His gloomy expression vanished, and he burst out laughing.

"You really are a true brother! You know me so well!"

"As if the Blue Star Will's assessment could ever be a problem for me!"

"It's just... the losses were a bit heavy."

As he said this, Sima Yuan's tone was clearly tinged with regret.

"Heavy losses don't matter. As long as you passed the Blue Star Will's assessment, it's smooth sailing from here on out!"

Zhang Yi stated matter-of-factly in response to Sima Yuan's comment.

"That's true!" Sima Yuan agreed.

"Now our Clans in the Divine Realm can develop in peace. We just have to get ready for the assessment at the end of next month!"

A short while later, Sima Yuan and Zhang Yi reached the classroom, found two adjacent seats, and sat down.

As time passed, more and more students began to fill the classroom.

However, most of them gathered in small cliques.

There were quite a few pairs of good friends sitting together, like Zhang Yi and Sima Yuan.

In contrast, students who sat all by themselves, with no companions, were the fewest.

The final, true Divine Realm assessment was so dangerous that it was entirely possible to lose the majority of one's Clan.

Therefore, the school permitted students to form small groups to face the crisis together during the assessment.

After all, even after igniting the Divine Fire and becoming a True God, one did not operate as a lone wolf.

On the contrary, after becoming a True God, a newly ascended one would typically join a Pantheon based on their Divine Position or the type of their Clan.

If their Clans belonged to the same Race, they would form a massive racial Pantheon. Where there was a Main God, there would naturally be Subordinate Gods.

If they were grouped by Divine Position, on the other hand, they would form a team. In such a team, some Divine Beings would be responsible for combat, while others would naturally handle Logistics...

The teams formed by the military, and the Divine Beings they nurtured, were typically organized by Divine Position.

Pantheons formed by having the same type of Clan were not without their advantages, either.

Since their Clans were of the same lineage, they tended to have greater cohesion during large-scale group activities within the Pantheon.

Furthermore, because they shared the same Race, a single Believer could often worship multiple gods of that Race at the same time.

This, in turn, could generate more General Believers!

This was why the school approved of students forming these groups.

Just before class started at eight o'clock, the last student entered the room, and their homeroom teacher, Guo Aiqing, stepped in right after.
