Gloria's gaze swept over the three assailants who had completely sealed off all her escape routes from different directions. She bit her lip.
The next moment, their deadly coordinated attack came again.
Gloria swung her Longsword fiercely. The blazing golden runes on it suddenly erupted with a blinding light that flowed along the blade.
A surge of Power not her own rushed forth, empowering the blade and allowing her to barely parry the vicious slash from the front.
Then, the light from her left arm formed a translucent golden barrier, just managing to block the attack from her left.
The tremendous impact sent a numbing jolt through her arm. She staggered back as a metallic, sweet taste rose in her throat, but the sacred, searing Power had also managed to momentarily repel two of the assailants.
"Your Highness! Don't worry about me! Go!"
Her lady-in-waiting, Mel, struggled to cry out.
