Flashback
In Min Shuang's mental space.
"To show you how useful I am to have, our revenge will start off with someone we can easily get rid off." Shen Xiatang said with a calculating smile.
"Who is it?" Min Shuang asked in confusion.
"The one who held you head under water and held you down whenever Min Hanying hurt you, Min Hanying's personal maid, Chun Hua." Shen Xiatang said with a grin.
"How will you do it?" Min Shuang asked Shen Xiatang.
"Don't be drastic." Min Shuang said fearfully.
"We can slowly bid our time." Min Shuang said to Shen Xiatang but Shen Xiatang shook her head.
"The ancestral rites ceremony for the imperial family is coming soon and before then I must level the playing field." Shen Xiatang said with a grin and Min Shuang nodded hesitantly.
After Min Shuang had been bathed and dressed.
Min Shuang purposely fell on Chun Hua's side, pretending to be weak in the knees.
"Can't you even walk properly?!" Chun Hua yelled as she pushed Min Shuang to the floor.
"Useless!" Chun Hua yelled as she looked at Min Shuang
"Carry her!" Chun Hua told the only other maid in the room and the maid nodded quickly as Chun Hua looked at Min Shuang in disgust.
"The room where they keep the ritual vessels are just up ahead." Shen Xiatang said and Min Shuang nodded discreetly.
"Pretend to stagger now!" Shen Xiatang commanded and Min Shuang fell onto the maid that was holding her and threw a pendant through the gap of the door holding the ritual vessels at the same time.
"Crown Princess Min Shuang, please have mercy on me." The maid that was holding Min Shuang said as she picked her up quickly.
"If I don't bring you on time, Crown Princess Min Hanying will have my head." The maid begged Min Shuang, as she began to speed up.
Floating away from Min Shuang momentarily, Shen Xiatang phased through the door that held the ritual vessels.
Concentrating with all her might, Shen Xiatang willed for the pendant to move and the second it did, Shen Xiatang let out a satisfied smile.
Rolling it slowly to a ritual vessel, Shen Xiatang said "Will this work?." uncertainly.
"Its sink or swim." Shen Xiatang said as she breathed in.
Waving her hands across the ritual vessel casually, Shen Xiatang watched with satisfaction as the ritual vessel shattered.
Going back to Min Shuang quickly, Shen Xiatang arrived when it was time for the carriage to take off.
"How long does it take for you to bring someone over?!"in Hanying asked in anger through the carriage window.
"My apologies, Crown Princess Min Hanying." Chun Hua and the maid that was holding Min Shuang said at the same time.
Taking advantage of this,Shen Xiatang attached the back up pendant that she had gotten from Min Shuang to Chun Hua as the carriage rolled away.
Present
"Anyone there!" Li Haoran yelled as he threw the pendant to the floor.
"Bring Min Hanying's personal maid to me!' the Crown Prince said with a growl.
Within seconds, Min Hanying's personal maid, Chun Hua was dragged in by the Crown Prince's personal guard and she knelt down on the spot.
"Greetings to the Crown Prince" Chun Hua said shakily as she quickly noticed that something was amiss.
"What have you been doing all day?" The Crown Prince asked calmly.
"Attending to the ritual arrangements on my mistress's request." Chun Hua said quickly.
"What nonsense are you spouting?!" Min Hanying yelled abruptly.
"Husband, I know nothing of this. Min Hanying didn't order Chun Hua to commit any evil act." Min Hanying said as she did a proper kowtow.
"What's happening?" Chun Hua thought as her mind began to run a mile a minute.
"Crown Princess Min Hanying didn't order me to do anything." Chun Hua said shakily, as she tried to understand what's going on.
"I handled the ritual arrangements on my own to aid my young mistress." Chun Hua said as she bowed down deeply.
"Insolence!" yelled the Crown Prince.
"What exactly are you take on matters that I personally assigned to Min Hanying?" The Crown Prince asked in anger.
"I was wrong." Chun Hua said as she bowed instantly.
"Chun Hua, I am going to give you one last chance to save yourself." said the Crown Prince.
"Answer me truthfully" The Crown Prince said as he stared Chun Hua in the eyes.
"Where is the pendant that Min Hanying gifted you a few days ago?" asked the Crown Prince.
"It's right here." Chun Hua said as she immediately dragged the pendant from her belt to present it to the crown Prince but the second her eyes locked in on the pendant, Chun Hua asked "Why is this here?" in fear and Shen Xiatang smiled like a shark that had just smelled blood.
"Why is this here?!" The Crown Prince yelled and everyone in the room shivered.
"You wondering why Min Shuang's pendant is with you instead of the place you tried to frame her right?" The Crown Prince asked sharply and Chun Hua began to panic.
"Min Hanying is this the good maid that has always been by your side?" The Crown Prince asked in anger.
"Husband, I was blind." Min Hanying cried pitifully.
"Chun Hua has always been sensible and obedient but who knew she would act out on her own?" Min Hanying asked as she tried to avoid any chance that would have her caught up in this.
"I didn't, I didn't do anything." Chun Hua said desperately.
"Give her the final blow." Shen Xiatang said with a smile.
"Am I that intolerable?" Min Shuang asked as tears fell from her eyes and the room was momentarily stunned into silence.
"I was just released from the cold room today, haven't we made amends sister?" Min Shuang asked in a heartbreaking tone that visibly made the Crown Prince uncomfortable.
Seeing the Crown Prince falter, Min Hanying quickly took the initiative and said "Husband, I have nothing to do with this."
"I have always considered Chun Hua to be obedient and sensible but this is a side of her that I didn't know." Min Hanying said as she tried to divert the Crown Prince's attention from Min Shuang.
"Your highness, Crown Princess Min Hanying and Min Shuang, I really didn't do it." Chun Hua said but no one listened to her.
Not giving up, Chun Hua shouted "Young Mistress, young mistress." as she crawled to Min Hanying.
"I have worked for you for years, what I can or not do, you know best." Chun Hua said, hoping that Min Hanying would speak for her.
"Anyone that will try to sow discord between I and sister doesn't think of me with love. Get lost!" Min Hanying said as she pushed Chun Hua away.
"Anyone there." The Crown Prince called and two guards came forward as Chun Hua trembled like a leaf in the wind.
"Drag her to the East Wing of the Estate and beat her to death." the Crown Prince said firmly.
"Your highness, have mercy! Your highness, have mercy!" Chun Hua screamed but the Crown Prince turned away from her.
"Crown Princess Min Hanying, Crown Princess Min Hanying please save me." Chun Hua begged but she was dragged out of the room kicking and screaming.
Getting up quickly, Min Hanying grabbed her sister's hand and said "Sister, please don't think I tried to harm you." Zom a sincere tone.
"Min Hanying would never purposely harm big sister, please believe me." Min Hanying said pitifully and the Crown Prince came to her rescue.
"Min Shuang try not to be petty about this." The Crown Prince said flippantly.
"It was her maid that acted out of line and I have dealt with her. Let's live this at that." The Crown Prince said as he walked away from his study with Min Hanying.
"Young Mistress, young mistress save me." Min Hanying thought as memories of the painful cries of her personal maid flooded her mind.
"Repay a tooth with a tooth." said Shen Xiatang.
"And an eye for an eye." Min Shuang said as the earlier look that Min Hanying saw earlier expressed itself on her face in full bloom.
