It wasn't long before the young girl was next to her aunt, watching the accused, Henry, sitting behind the soundproof glass. It was quiet; they could hear their breathing.
"Who would have imagined seeing you again... even though your situation doesn't seem the best?" a voice behind them says arrogantly. It's Jack, who glances at Lucas and Emma sitting outside in the hall before turning to Clara. "Keep an eye on them..." as she replies, "Yes, sir," and hurries out..
He steps forward and stands beside Isabella, whose expression is etched with worry, and whispers to her, "What happened?" He seems to mean what happened to Elizabeth's face. She stands firmly in front of them, staring blankly at her father as she listens to his voice echoing quietly. There he is, sitting cross-legged calmly.
While the policeman was questioning him in front of him, he slammed his palm hard on the table and said in a sharp voice, "Can you tell me why your fingerprints are on Miss Isla's belongings, Mr. Henry?"
The policeman's expressions appear calm mixed with cold intensity, which clashes with the man sitting in front of him, who is trying in every way to hide the shaking of his hand as he holds the collar of his clothes to mutter, "So what? I told you we have a working relationship, nothing more... I was at work yesterday all the time, how can you possibly doubt me?"
Not far away, Lucas and Emma sat cross-legged in front of the young policewoman in the quiet corridor. The voices of the other policemen filled the place, while a strange feeling overwhelmed her that she was reliving the details of this scene for the second time, and so she whispered to them, "Guys, what happened to you? Are you okay? You look...not good at all," while standing a few meters away from them.
Lucas chuckled, crossing his arms in boredom. "What do you see?" He'd wanted to go into the interrogation room too, to see what was happening, and now he was annoyed. Beside him, Emma smiled her usual gentle smile, tinged with obvious nervousness, at Clara, saying, "You won't believe us, but..." She began, slowly piquing the young policewoman's curiosity.
Before she could elaborate on her questions, the door opened behind her and the young girl rushed out, ignoring her aunt's calls of "Elizabeth?! Where are you going?" Without turning around, and with heavy steps, she headed towards her father's interrogation room, while the blood from her eye slowly spread through the fabric. Turning to her shocked aunt and Jack, who stood watching her, told her, "I have to make sure of something..."
"What __ what's happening?" Clara asks breathlessly as she watches the atmosphere quietly turn cold, wrapping itself around her neck. Lucas and Emma watch their friend with shock and tension before they suddenly stand up together.
Then a quiet, sudden voice called out: "Stop this noise! CALM DOWN EVERY ONE"
Jack walked steadily towards Elizabeth, taking his aunt behind him , before turning to the young girl in a calmer tone: "And you, !! Why don't you sit down and let us get on with our work!" Elizabeth didn't seem flustered by his words, but remained silent for a few seconds before telling him and her aunt, "I will, but I need to talk to him." She then glanced slowly at Clara, telling her, "Please look after my aunt and my friends... I'll be back in a few minutes." Without giving Jack, whose eyebrow was raised, a chance to say anything, she entered the room quickly. Her eyes fell on her father, who slowly raised his head towards her, his expression one of shock. ..
"Hello, father," she says, looking directly at him.. He's so shocked that he jumps up from his chair, shouting, "What happened to your face?" But she doesn't really give him an explanation. Her attention goes to the seated policeman. She doesn't even tell him to leave, but walks towards the file he's holding and looks at it , searching for something specific in the photos..
"What on the world?! Who are you?!" the policeman asks, but he suddenly falls silent as he grasps the walkie-talkie attached to his ear. It seems they told him outside to leave her for a minute.
Outside the hall, the small group huddled in a circle charged with anxiety. Clara's hand gently patted the shoulder of the Isabella, who was trying hard to understand what was happening, muttering: "How did all this happen in my absence!"
...Yes, she and Clara knew the whole story of the kidnapping and how Frederick's men had beaten them as Emma voice continues in shaking, "I think... he's still watching us," while her features were very disturbed and she looked around a lot, even though she was already in a police station, unlike Lucas, who broke the silence impulsively:
"Why would you suspect Mr. Henry anyway?! " As Clara noticed Hector's business card in Isabella's trembling hand, a spark of curiosity widening in her eyes, Jack's shout from the end of the corridor startled her: "Five minutes! and get HER OUT!!" He paced nervously back and forth, watching them from behind the glass window next to the other policemen...
