Felix Preston's sudden appearance left Charlotte Shaw both surprised and delighted.
"Felix Preston? What are you doing here?" She let go of Mina Jennings's hand and rushed over to Felix, her big, bright eyes gazing up at him.
One look from her was enough to dissipate most of the resentment in his heart. He reached out and pinched Charlotte Shaw's cheek, then pulled her into his arms with a possessive air. Lifting his head, he shot a provocative glare at Ian Zane.
"Thanks for your concern for my wife, Mr. Zane. But I'm here now, so you can leave. Go home and get some sleep. You'll get nothing, not even in your dreams."
"..." Ian Zane gritted his back teeth, wanting to retort but lacking the confidence or the standing to do so. He turned to look at Charlotte Shaw, hoping to find a crack in her facade, but all he saw was a hopelessly love-struck woman.
"Why did you suddenly show up? Were you trying to surprise me?" Charlotte Shaw cooed, hugging Felix Preston's waist.
