Renee Sinclair clutched desperately at her down jacket, her face pale and her eyes numb. In just a dozen seconds, it was as if her entire soul had been drained away, leaving behind nothing but a lifeless shell.
"Do you have to be so cruel to me?" She stared blankly into the empty space before her with lifeless eyes, as if speaking to someone there.
"...Is she talking to us?" Jasper Linden asked, looking uncertainly at Felix Preston beside him.
Felix Preston shook his head. "I don't know."
He truly didn't. Renee Sinclair's mental state was clearly abnormal, and he had no idea what kind of attitude he should take with her.
'Should I treat her like a madwoman? Or as a malicious woman intentionally trying to seduce me to harm Charlotte Shaw?'
