"Hmm?" Willow Quincy heard something off in Aunt Bell's words. He looked down, adjusting the cuffs of his sweater as he walked downstairs. "Did Sonia say something to you?"
Aunt Bell followed behind him, frowning, and gave a troubled "mhm."
Willow Quincy asked, "What did she say?"
"Sigh..." Aunt Bell let out a gloomy sigh before she hesitantly began to speak, repeating word-for-word all the harsh things Charlotte Shaw had said to her the day before.
Willow Quincy couldn't care less that she had been yelled at. He only cared about what Charlotte Shaw had said.
Charlotte Shaw's temper had never been good, and the impulsive things she said when she was emotional were far from pleasant.
Although Willow Quincy was long used to Charlotte Shaw's sharp tongue, he couldn't help but feel a surge of emotion upon hearing the words she used to push him away.
"She really said that?" he asked, his face dark and his voice cold.
