Collins relented. "Mr. Lockwood, I know I was wrong."
Ethan Lockwood shot him an exasperated glare. Just as he was about to wave him off, a sudden knock sounded at the office door.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK—
"Mr. Lockwood."
Ethan Lockwood frowned impatiently and answered in a cold voice, "Enter."
The next second, the dark gray door was pushed open from the outside. Another secretary walked in quickly and said respectfully to Ethan Lockwood, "Mr. Lockwood, Miss Cecilia is here. She says she needs to see you."
"I'm not seeing her," Ethan Lockwood said, his tone cold and hard, without a hint of hesitation.
The secretary stood before the desk, hands clasped, a tentative expression on his face. "Mr. Lockwood, Miss Cecilia said she can solve the problem that's been bothering you."
