"What? It wasn't Josephine Grant?"
After the livestream fiasco ended, Shirley Thorne headed home. Just as she sank into the sofa, she heard Florence Langley's deadpan report.
Normally, Florence's reports were concise and to the point. Her tone only became completely flat when she was extremely displeased.
And the contents of this report were certainly not pleasant.
"Someone has already confessed. It was one of Josephine Grant's servants. The motive was hatred for the rich."
'That motive is complete bullshit!'
Florence didn't believe it.
Shirley Thorne didn't believe it either.
'There's no way it's that simple!'
"What did Mr. Grant have to say?"
Shirley Thorne asked.
Florence frowned. "Mr. Grant can't do anything either. The servant insists that she stole Josephine Grant's payment password and did everything on her own."
Hearing this, Shirley Thorne sighed and leaned back, sinking completely into the sofa.
She knew the matter was now beyond her control.
