The entire town had become a city of the dead. Within it, only the alliance members who had turned into monsters remained, along with the carcasses of the livestock they had killed.
The town was not far from Fire City. Traveling at top speed, Lin Yun and the others arrived in just a day.
Early the next morning, Lin Yun's group arrived at the town. Before they even set foot inside, they could already smell a distinct, foul stench.
"Is that the stench of corpses?" Qin Feng asked softly upon smelling it.
"No," Lin Yun replied after a moment's thought. "It's only been two days since the attack. How could the bodies have started to stink so quickly?"
Just standing outside, Lin Yun felt that the town exuded an overwhelming eeriness. Everything was just too bizarre.
'How could the bodies of people who died only two days ago already reek? And so strongly that you could smell it from outside the town?'
