Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Girl's Artificial Respiration

The world of pirates, one of the Four Seas, the East Blue.

At sea, fierce winds were howling, torrential rain kept pouring down, and waves were churning wildly...

A small boat was swaying in the wind and waves, and on it, a girl with short orange hair was struggling to drag an unconscious young man who had nearly drowned onto the boat.

After tremendous effort, the girl finally managed to pull him aboard.

While she was busy with the rescue, the wind and waves on the sea grew increasingly violent. There was no time to worry about the young man's condition. After quickly surveying the situation around her, the girl raised the sail. Under her control, the boat's sail skillfully utilized the chaotic storm to rapidly escape from this turbulent area of the sea.

The girl possessed exceptional navigation skills. In just a few minutes, the small boat successfully broke free from that violent sea area that could have swallowed even a giant ship.

The sea is always capricious, especially in this world where most of the surface is covered by water. Storms come without warning—one moment the sky might be clear for miles, the next it transforms into a raging tempest.

Having successfully escaped the storm, but before the girl could catch her breath, she discovered that the money bag she had fished out with such effort, intending to extort a hefty sum from, had nearly stopped breathing.

For the sake of lovely berries, the girl had no choice but to perform emergency rescue.

The girl had been traveling alone at sea for many years. She not only mastered exceptional navigation skills but also possessed knowledge of emergency rescue.

The girl flipped over the young man who was a head taller than her, positioning him face down. She lifted his waist, letting his head hang down to drain the water.

As the girl bounced him up and down, a small amount of seawater spilled from the young man's mouth.

After confirming all the water had been expelled from the young man's lungs, the girl turned him over and began chest compressions.

Chest compressions, pressing the philtrum—yet there wasn't much effect.

"Damn it!"

Looking at the young man whose chest showed no rise and fall, the girl couldn't help but curse.

The young man had regular features. Perhaps from constant exposure to sea winds, his skin was somewhat rough. Near death—or perhaps already dead—the young man's face was deathly pale.

Looking at that fairly handsome face, the orange-haired girl bit her lower lip with her white teeth.

Should she perform artificial respiration or not? The girl hesitated.

Though the girl wanted to say it was for the money, if it were truly for money, she wouldn't have risked danger by entering the storm to save someone.

Though the young man had stopped breathing, having just drowned, there was still a glimmer of hope. The girl finally gritted her teeth and cursed somewhat angrily: "Damn it, if you don't have enough compensation, I'll definitely make you pay."

She took a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped the young man's mouth clean. After confirming there were no obstructions in his mouth or nose, she pinched his nose, pried open his mouth, took a deep breath, and transferred it to him.

Chest compressions, artificial respiration—under the girl's efforts, the young man's deathly pale face gradually gained some color, and his stopped heart began to beat faintly.

Giving the young man artificial respiration, whether from exhaustion or embarrassment, the girl's fair cheeks were tinged with a rosy blush.

Just as the girl transferred another breath, suddenly something slippery slipped into her mouth.

Instantly, the girl's eyes widened.

"Bastard!"

To think that she, a beautiful girl, was giving him artificial respiration, and nearly dead he still didn't forget to stick out his tongue—so perverted! The furious girl slapped the young man's face.

Smack!

The force of the girl's slap was so great that the young man's head was knocked to the side, and a conspicuous handprint appeared on his pale face.

This slap seemed to press the revival button. The young man, who had been breathing weakly and hovering at death's door, began coughing violently.

Cough! Cough! Cough!

Feeling the burning pain on his face, Jake awakened from the darkness. His head felt dizzy and heavy—whether from being hit or from oxygen deprivation from drowning, he didn't know.

The small boat wasn't far from the storm area, and the sky was still overcast.

Opening his eyes, he saw the gloomy sky, where all the white clouds seemed about to collapse down.

But Jake's attention was quickly captured by the beautiful girl who was glaring at him angrily, and his foggy head instantly cleared.

The girl before him had an angel-like delicate face, with gemstone-like brown eyes set in it, and a head of playful orange short hair that added to her youthful vitality.

She wore a simple short-sleeved striped top, a hip-length short skirt that had faded from washing, and a pair of flat-heeled sturdy shoes that only commoner girls who did physical labor would wear. Such ordinary attire did nothing to diminish the girl's beauty.

Though young, the girl's figure was already quite impressive; her ample bust stretched the rain-dampened striped short-sleeve into an alluring sight, and her long legs, barely concealed by the short skirt, were so fair they stirred the heart.

Seeing the girl, Jake felt like he was dreaming. The so-called female celebrities and school beauties he'd seen on his phone couldn't compare to half of this girl before him.

Seeing the young man awaken but only stare at her blankly, the girl was used to such gazes, but remembering what had entered her mouth, she cursed somewhat angrily: "Bastard, have you figured out how you're going to compensate me?"

Though angry, the girl wouldn't mention the incident of a certain idiot sticking out his tongue during artificial respiration.

"Compensate?"

Completely unclear about the situation, Qing could only look at the girl before him with a confused expression.

Seeing Jake's innocent appearance, the girl nearly exploded with anger. Looking both beautiful and indignant, she said: "I fished you out of the sea, shouldn't I collect a thank-you gift?"

The girl was really money-obsessed—even this angry, she still hadn't forgotten about money.

With the girl saying this, Jake finally realized something was wrong. Earlier he'd been completely distracted by the girl's beauty.

Examining himself carefully, his arms seemed much more slender. He discovered he seemed much younger, but the scars on his hands confirmed this body was his own. (Originally wrote soul transmigration, but felt that for a harem, using someone else's body doesn't feel right at all. Changed it to physical transmigration instead. Some later plot points might be a bit jarring, I'll fix them.)

Moreover, he was now at sea, with blue all around him.

Most importantly, the girl before him wasn't speaking Chinese, but Japanese, and he understood it.

"What's going on?"

An ominous thought welled up in Jake's heart. He couldn't help but clutch his head, but his mind was a complete mess. What had happened, why was he here—he had no memory at all.

"Excuse me, what's your name?" Jake's voice trembled slightly as he asked the girl before him with a seeking gaze.

Seeing Jake's helpless appearance, the girl also noticed something unusual, which diverted her angry attention.

"My name is Nami. I'm the one who fished you out of the sea. What's wrong with you?"

Though her tone carried concern, Nami still didn't forget to remind Jake that she was the one who saved him from the waves.

Hearing the two words "Nami," combined with Japanese, orange short hair, striped shirt, and various other elements—

Boom!

Like a thunderbolt, various memories flashed rapidly through his mind. Jake instantly felt terrible.

But Jake still didn't want to believe it. His voice trembling with anxiety, he asked: "Is this... the East Blue? Is the Pirate King... Roger?"

Seeing Jake like this, Nami responded somewhat strangely: "Yes! This is the East Blue. The Pirate King Roger—even kids know that, okay?"

Getting Nami's confirmation, Jake's heart began pounding violently. His blood pressure shot up, blood rushed to his brain, his eyes rolled back, and he passed out directly.

Seeing the ATM she'd worked so hard to rescue pass out again, Nami panicked.

"Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong with you!"

Chapter 2: A Sleepless Night

At night, the sea was calm and waveless, with a small boat quietly moored on the water's surface.

The sea was so calm, without a trace of wind or rippling waves. The surface was like a mirror reflecting the crescent moon in the sky.

At the bow of the small boat, Jake quietly gazed at the crescent moon shaped like a sickle on the sea's surface, contemplating the future.

After getting off work and having drinks with colleagues, he'd inexplicably transmigrated. Jake hoped his head hadn't ended up in a toilet.

For Jake, who had enjoyed the blessings of 007 and 996 work schedules, it didn't matter much. The only thing he worried about was his parents. As an adult, Jake had also accepted the fact that he'd transmigrated into the world of One Piece.

Transmigration—existence is rational. Jake didn't want to say anything about it.

But the premise should be giving him a cheat ability!

No system, no cheat—how was an unarmed ordinary person supposed to survive in this world?

What was even more frustrating was that his physical body had transmigrated to this world, and apart from automatic language translation, he had no other abilities.

For someone long accustomed to the conveniences brought by 21st-century technology, being thrown into an environment similar to the Western Middle Ages made survival truly difficult.

It's true that the pirate world has plenty of advanced technology, but the political landscape and cultural customs of the pirate world are actually quite similar to medieval Europe.

Ordinary people's ability to withstand risks is just that fragile. Right now, Jake didn't even have a clue about how to make money or survive in this world. Fortunately, he'd been picked up by Nami.

Since Nami had saved his life and he might have to depend on her for survival in the future, Nami had made Jake sign various unequal treaties, successfully turning him into Nami's slave.

Question: After transmigrating as an ordinary person, how does one survive in the world of One Piece?

The best answer is undoubtedly to join the Straw Hat Pirates—no matter what you do, you won't die.

And now Jake had already latched onto the thigh of the Straw Hat crew's big boss, the "whoever disobeys gets beaten" big sister, the little thief cat Nami.

If he had the ability, of course he'd strike out on his own with Nami.

Creak!

The cabin door opened outward from inside. Hearing the sound, Jake turned to look. Nami, now changed into a white short-sleeved shirt and tight shorts, walked out from the cabin.

Though the boat was small, it still had a small cabin that could shelter from wind and rain.

However, the crossed-swords skull and crossbones flag on the sail clearly indicated that Nami had stolen it from some pirate crew.

"Nami!" Jake greeted her.

Nami responded with a "Mm," then said to him somewhat awkwardly: "Jake, could you go into the cabin for a bit?"

Hearing this, Jake looked at Nami with some surprise and said: "Is something the matter?"

Because Nami hadn't let him in, Jake could only endure the cold night wind outside the cabin. Now that Nami was calling him into the cabin, he was somewhat puzzled.

To Jake's inquiry, Nami's eyes widened as she stared at him. Standing proudly with one hand on her hip and the other pointing at him, she commanded: "Just go in when I tell you to! Why all the questions!" Then she added: "I'm warning you, don't touch my treasure chest, or you'll be sorry."

Nami even raised her fist in a threatening gesture.

The weather was fine. Though the sky held only a crescent moon, the pure white moonlight poured down like flowing water. Jake clearly saw the urgency and impatience in Nami's eyes.

With an "Oh," though he didn't understand, Jake obediently got up and walked into the cabin.

Inside the cabin, a candle was lit, its faint light illuminating the cramped space. The furnishings were simple—aside from a bed with bedding and clothes, there was only a treasure chest placed by the headboard.

As soon as Jake entered the cabin, the door was shut behind him. From outside came the sound of something being propped against the door. Jake understood it was Nami's collapsible staff being used to block the door, but he didn't understand why Nami would block the door.

But soon, he understood.

After confirming the cabin door was blocked, Nami quickly walked to the side of the boat, pulled down her tight shorts, her snow-white rear and thighs exposed to the air, and in a highly difficult maneuver stuck her bottom out over the side of the boat, sitting on the gunwale as if sitting on a toilet.

If Jake could see Nami now, he would have discovered that her face was completely flushed, red from her neck to the tips of her ears.

Having lived at sea for so many years, Nami wasn't unfamiliar with dealing with various physiological needs, but at this moment, she felt an unprecedented sense of shame. After all, she'd never performed such an unseemly act in close proximity to a man.

All day today, Nami felt her boundaries had been continuously crossed—from artificial respiration to having someone's tongue in her mouth, and now dealing with bodily functions separated only by a wooden wall. She felt she had no privacy left whatsoever.

Nature calls cannot be controlled by humans. Though it was shameful, Nami's endurance had reached its limit.

The valve opened, suddenly relaxing. Her tense muscles also loosened, and Nami felt as if all strength had instantly drained from her body.

Inside the cabin, the air carried the scent of tangerines and the ink smell of money—Jake knew this was Nami's body fragrance.

This area of sea was so quiet at night, without any wind or waves. Any sound could be heard with crystal clarity.

Warm liquid sprayed out with a hissing sound, and when the stream hit the sea surface, it made a splashing noise.

The faint fragrance of the girl in the air, combined with the trickling water sounds from outside, made Jake feel as if his heart was a wild horse galloping violently, pounding loudly, as if it would leap out of his chest.

His blood pressure shot up rapidly, causing Jake's vision to go dark. He leaned weakly against the cabin door.

Having just narrowly escaped death today, inexplicably transmigrating and growing younger, his body had become so fragile that even this small stimulus was almost too much to bear.

The air was so quiet that even the sound of Jake leaning against the door was clearly audible, startling Nami into immediately clutching her underwear. If Jake dared to come out, she'd beat him severely.

However, it turned out to be only a false alarm.

Time passed—who knows how long. When Jake was still seeing black spots from overexcitement, the door behind him was suddenly pulled open, and he stumbled, nearly falling backward.

The flush on her face having faded, Nami saw Jake's disheveled appearance and, pretending to be carefree, said fiercely: "You didn't touch my treasure chest, did you!"

Steadying himself and seeing Nami's fierce expression, Jake's heart still pounding, he forced a smile and said: "How could I! Thanks to you I was saved, and I still owe you a huge debt!"

At the mention of money, Nami instantly revealed her true nature as a greedy little thief cat. Looking Jake over, she said playfully: "You heard everything just now, didn't you! I'll charge you one million Berries for that."

As she spoke, Nami moved closer to Jake, tilted her head up and blew a breath on Jake's neck, looking seductive and teasing, with none of her earlier shyness.

Jake was someone with experience, but for some reason, he felt he had absolutely no resistance to this little thief cat.

Having the little thief cat blow hot air on his neck, Jake's heartbeat and breathing both quickened.

Seeing that Jake was completely in her grasp, Nami continued cutely: "All day today, I saved you, you ate my food, and stayed on my boat. Now you owe me 11 million Berries!"

Looking at the girl whose eyes were full of dollar signs, Jake also regained his clarity.

"Nami, why do I suddenly owe so much money! I don't have any money." A drop of cold sweat ran down Jake's forehead.

Nami tilted her head and said cunningly: "If you don't have money, then just be my slave!"

With that, Nami pulled Jake out of the cabin in one motion.

With a bang, the cabin door closed and was soon locked tight from the inside.

The cool sea breeze blew, finally clearing Jake's overheated brain. He realized he might have been played by Nami, but it was already too late.

On the sea, the trickling water sounds kept echoing in his mind. This night was destined to be a sleepless one for Jake.
