Icarus Grimm a 16 year old student in 10th standard with an introverted personality and he also has another personality which is not very nice in the sense because it is just a polar opposite of his usual peronality, the personality he shows to others in not completely true but a mask, from inside he is more of hollow, no hard attachments to others, unpredictable thoughts, and a mindset focused on only achieving its goals, its basically what we call a physcopath or maybe something more. This personality was kept hidden under that mask due to the rules and regulations, he knew if he reaveled this type of he would get in trouble, this led to him having a split personality.
He do have some friends though he is not very active in class. He do have talent in tech but don't usually show it and holds back. He do have some fighting skills but avoids fight mostly due to highly strict school rules and steps in only if necessary.
He was living an ordinary life and enjoying with his friends. Then a friend of his Kai Laurent approaches him and asks:
"Hey! Icarus will you join us tonight on Rolbox(a multiplayer battle royale game) we will be a perfect squad if you do? We needed a good sniper to cover us, others have already agreed to come."
Kai is one of his best friends and Icarus is a manga and games addict so he agrees and quite good at adapting to any style while sniping being his favorite and he can not only adapt to any play style he want but he can also adapt to enemy's fighting style which provides him with a good advantage over long term fights and an option with good all rounder.
Icarus have a rather strict parents so he usually avoids playing in front of his parents so night is the best choice to do it of course and Kai knew it too very well so he calls him at night only. But having strict parents have its own benefits, you start to develop sharp senses and many more moves to avoid getting caught doing anything.
After departing from school they meet online at night and starts discussing their strategies for rushing on enemy until suddenly out of no where Icarus starts to sense something odd and founds himself in a bit of discomfort, he ignores it and they starts the match.
Suddenly everything wents dark and he finds himself lying in a dim forest which definitely does not look normal and something that existed on earth, he gathers up his strength and stands up and starts to analyze his current situation. A while ago he was in his room playing games and the next second he is in an unknown forest. He recalls what happened and checks his body in case of any injuries or wounds but found nothing. After knowing his current situation he says:
"If this is all real and i just got transported into another world alone then we are having a huge minus in our ranks because that was a ranked match."
After that suddenly he notices someone behind him with an terrifying presence, he turns back in panic and falls down and saw an shadow like creature with an unimaginable amount of blood lust coming from it and out of all that the most terrifying thing about it was its eyes, just by looking in those eyes someone can fall in an endless pit of despair.
That unkown existance give out a helping hand for him to stand and says:
"..{$:&..;$&]~0(&..%"
Icarus puzzeled asks:
"Sorry! I am unable to understand you? What are you and what do you want? Are you the one who brought me here?"
That entity replys:
"Be my successor! I shall lead you."
Icarus completely unaware of his situation thinks:
"I know nothing about this world I was transported to and now someone or something or whatever it is, is offering me to become its successor. Well its better to accept this offer and ask it what exactly is happening here, and I am losing nothing but gaining by becoming its successor"
After that he agrees to become his successor and holds his hand to stand up but when he touches it he feels something inside him like a feeling of freedom and the mask he had on him being removed, he feels light and refreshed.
In the next moment that entity fades with a creepy smile filled with excitement and while going it says :
"I will be guiding you from now onwards as your guardian."
After all that a system window pops up and welcomes him after thats another window showing his stats pops up
Strength : 5. (Avg. 5)
Defense : 5. (Avg. 5)
Endurance : 6. (Avg. 5)
Agility : 7. (Avg. 5)
Wisdom : 1
Intelligence : 2
Perception : 4. (Avg. 2)
After checking his stats the system window tells him that he can ask any 5 questions to the system.
He thinks and asks:
"What is my current situation and what exactly is this world?"
The system replys:
"Not only you but every human has been transported to this world whether they were currently alive or once alive and this is an endless world with magic and more, in this world possibilities are infinite and you can do lilerally anything here as long as you are capable of doing it."
Icarus asks another question out of the 3 left:
"What do we have to do here?"
System replys:
"All you have to do here is get strong and survive because this world may look peaceful now but in the later future it will become chaotic because after a period of one month monsters will start apperaing and after every one month the monsters will get strong or evolve into a higher specie."
Icarus thinks carefully for his last two questions and asks:
"What exactly was that thing earlier who made me its successor?"
