Chapter 1 - Prologue

Greetings, I am now preparing for my final journey. I am over 90 years old. I have had a very interesting life and have no regrets. I had a wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ha-ha-ha, in about a week, I will have great-great-grandchildren. However, I feel that my time is coming soon. You won't be interested in what I had as a child. What can I say, I went to school. After school, I worked, then came family and home, and like everyone else, time flew by very quickly. I hear someone coming.

"Hello, Grandpa. How are you feeling?"

It's my grandson who has come to visit me.

"Not bad, but I feel like I'll be leaving soon.

He wanted to tell me something, but I interrupted him.

"Wait, listen to me carefully. I have divided my inheritance among all my descendants. Some got more, some got less. For the last five years, I have been watching your actions, your deeds, your decisions. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is my decision. And remember what I'm about to say: this is the most important thing. If, under any circumstances, any of your brothers or other relatives want to get your share of the inheritance, give it to them. Money is not worth your health or even your life. I was able to rise from the bottom to where I am now, and believe me, anyone can do it.

"Grandfather, I..."

I didn't hear him anymore. It seemed like my time had come. As I said, I have no regrets. So we can move on.

"Greetings, soul."

Suddenly, a voice rang out from all sides. I tried to see something, but I could only hear. I couldn't even feel my body or my soul.

"Your points for this life are being counted."

You have earned a thousand points for your long life.

You have received one and a half thousand points for rising from the bottom of society and the special title 'From Rags to Riches'.

The title 'From rags to riches'. The holder of this title has a 100% chance of securing a place in the sun, but how close that place is will depend on the holder.

One thousand points earned...

This continued for several minutes. I never would have thought that in my life, which was not short, but not that long either, I managed to do so much.

The count is complete: a total of 137,000 points. Please select your bonuses for your next life.

Not bad, at first glance it seems like a lot. But who knows how much these bonuses are worth. I wonder if he will answer my question.

"I am listening to you carefully. You can ask any questions. I will try to answer.

I think of a question.

"Yes, you are right, I am the so-called system, and I will help you in your next life.

I see, I wasn't mistaken after all. Okay, then here's my second question.

"Yes, you can opt out of the system: the price of the system is one hundred thousand points. This amount will be credited to your account.

Well, that's great, then we'll refuse right away. The system gives a lot of bonuses, but often there are some mandatory tasks from some gods or observers, which, if refused, can, if not kill you, then at least ruin your life. So we'll try to do it ourselves.

"Accepted, you now have 237,000 points in your account. Make your choice.

A window appeared in front of me, or at least that's what it seemed like, with various abilities, features, and their prices.

First, I found psionics: I had always dreamed of using such abilities. And then I realised what the catch was with such high point numbers. The ability itself cost a thousand, including all the abilities of a psionic. However, for that thousand in my next life, if I were a human, a very intelligent human, the most I would be able to do is lift a spoon, and that's it — I wouldn't be capable of anything more. And then I learned that you could invest points in the future of your body. In my case, in my brain, and other parts of the body depending on the ability. Psionics is divided into eleven levels, and I immediately saw the comparison: a person with the tenth level was equal to an average higher demon and other creatures of his league. Accordingly, the eleventh level was equal to the power of the strongest higher demons. In order for my mortal body to still have a chance of reaching the eleventh level, I invested one hundred thousand points in this ability. Immediately after that, I learned that I could now only learn three types of magic: summoning, light, and darkness. After thinking about it, I spent another fifty thousand on summoning. Thinking about my future, I asked where I would end up. I was told that since I live in a fairly peaceful universe, I would end up in a rather dangerous one. After that, I looked for something else interesting in the list and found the features of summoning. There were many types of how I would summon other creatures. After reading all the pros and cons, I invested another fifty thousand in the "Summoning Deck" ability. It is a dimensionless deck that can contain an almost infinite number of monsters. However, there were conditions: first, to get a monster, you had to defeat it, prove that you were worthy of being its master, and fulfil many other minor conditions. Second, it was an infinite deck with special features that I could only access once I reached the eleventh level of psionics. So, at the first level, I only have access to a hundred slots, and spells also take up these slots. Well, not bad. Next, for the remaining thirty-seven thousand, I chose an approximate appearance, added a few talents to "Body Features" and other minor details. After that, I set off on my new life.

After the main character left.

"Ha ha ha, he rejected your system, what are you going to do now? God of games?"

"Yes, it turned out unexpectedly. In that case, I'll send him to that world, to a family of demons.

"Oh ho ho, that's unexpected. What did he do to make you care so much about him?"

"He gave my daughter children and made her happy.

"You have a daughter?"

"Yes, but due to certain circumstances, she became mortal. I gave her something to live for.

"Wait, don't tell me she's in the world you sent him to.

"Exactly, let them be happy for another lifetime.
