Matteo studied him for a moment before nodding. "Alright, baby."
They stayed on the call for a long time, their conversation drifting into the soft, romantic space that had become their quiet refuge.
When Adrian finally fell asleep, his thoughts were already counting down to Thursday.
The next morning, after a quick exchange of messages, Adrian went downstairs to find Maxwell waiting with a strange glint in his eyes.
"Can I ask you for something?" Maxwell said, his tone almost pleading.
Adrian looked at him, slightly puzzled. "What is it?"
"Don't go to the studio today," Maxwell said, leaning against the counter. "There's somewhere I want to take you. It's important… please come with me."
Adrian paused, considering his schedule. He didn't have anything pressing at the studio. "Where are we going?"
"If you say yes, I'll take you there. But if you start asking questions, it ruins the surprise," Maxwell teased.
