When I reached my destination, a few guards greeted me at the door, they knew who I was, so they let me in without any doubt.
When I went inside, I noticed my mom's McLaren and a few other cars parked outside. "I don't even know how to ride a motor bike, and this woman is using such a expensive car at the age of forty six" I muttered to myself. "What did you just say?" A sweet voice came from behind me, followed by some footsteps with heels.
I turned around and saw Helena, aunt Luciana's elder daughter coming towards me. She was wearing a deep neck vermillion red crop top, paired with a white pencil skirt. "Nothing," I replied, my tone even.
"But I heard something," she said with a pout. Look at this women, she's already in her twenties but still acting all cute. FAKE!!!
"What did you hear," I asked raising a brow. I know her since my birth, I know one thing about her that her ears are sharp enough to even hear a pin drop in a rushing street or among a bunch of people shouting.
"Are you going to tell me or not?" She asked, her eyes blinking in a way that made her look like a fool who just ran away from a mental hospital. "It's nothing, let's just head inside!" With that I turned and left, without even waiting for her response.
She was following closely behind. When we reached the living room, the gossiping whispers and loud laughters were audible from outside. We went inside.
"Aunt Luciana," I beginned with a polite smile, far better than Helena's fake one. "Hello dear" she responded softly, dragging the word 'hello', and rose to her feet in a graceful way, the one everybody admired. She took me in her warm embrace.
When she finally pulled back, I said, "It's really glad to see you after such a long time," I paused, her palm were still holding my arms, and mine on her elbows. "By the way, wish you a happiest birthday."
"Thank you" she thanked me in my usual childish tone while saying something with gratitude. I leaned in and whispered in her ear, though still audible to everyone in the room, "Wow, you are older than my mom, but still, look at you, he adorable.... And, Sexy you are looking." I pulled back with a wide grin and looked at her flushed face. Though, I was doing my job of flattering people, but I have to accept the fact that this lady is really pretty.
"Oh, you young people, liars" she said, dismissing her hand, her smile still remained the same and she pointed at the place right next to me mother on one couch, I finally spotted my mother. Aunt sat back in her place. My bag, which seemed much lighter now, because I ate half of the chocolates in my way, I put it on the table where others' bags were kept, and took out a box of chocolates, I thought just now that I should give it to aunt Luciana, since it's her birthday today.
I gave it to Aunt, and she took it, said "thankyou so much baby girl," now it's my cheeks turn to turn crimson, I'm a grown girl, no need to call me that, I couldn't help but keep a polite smile on my face. She turned to my mom, "look how sincere she is, so lucky of you."
"Indeed, afterall it's my daughter" mom replied with a small smile.
"What about me, mama?" I heard that snake speak, all eyes turned to her, "Am I not sincere, mama?" She asked again with that pout, I hated. Aunt dismissed the subject with a laugh. Of course, everybody, including her own mother knew what kind of person she was.
I finally sat down, and realised I've not greeted others, "Good afternoon everybody," I said with a genuine sweetness and sincerity in my voice, "Aunt Caroline, aunt Melina, aunt Gabrielle, aunt Serena, and my gorgeous mama!" I named everybody.
I don't know why I was being more polite than usual, but my instincts told me to do so.
"Good afternoon, baby girl" they'll said together. My smile faltered slightly at their last two words, here we go again, I'm not a fvcking baby girl, stop calling me that, you bi... I stopped myself before the curse could completely form in my head, I've some respect left, atleast for my elders. I fixed my composure, and smile brightly again.
I turned to my mom, she seemed satisfied with my behaviour.
Their gossiping started again, soon after, I was extremely bored. Helena had asked me multiple times to accompany her in her room, but I refused, being here is better, being with her is worse.
Finally I asked Aunt Luciana, "Where is Charles, Aunt. I've not seen him since I came here." She replied calmly, "he's at the back door of the house, talking to one of his friends" she smiled again and continued her gossiping with others.
My breath hitched, Stellan was his friend, could it be him? Before my brain could respond, my body did. My feet moved on their own as if they've their own brain, halfway through the backside, I thought while walking, 'why the hell are they at the back instead of the front'. I frowned and stopped mid-track, 'is it because Charles had told Stellan that I'm also here, and so I wouldn't find them, they're at the backdoor.'
My thoughts spiralled in my brain, till I reached there.
