"Leo Malcolm, Transfiguration Representative. Your Transfiguration has always been good, if I recall correctly," Alan chuckled.
Leo's face twitched. He knew exactly what Alan was referring to; he had been part of the group that attacked Alan during Christmas two years ago and had been severely beaten for it. He hadn't expected Alan to actually rely on him now.
"Randall Rozier, Potions Representative."
The consecutive appointment of two pure-blood wizards made everyone look at Alan with newfound respect. Rozier merely nodded indifferently. The rest of the House was unaware that he had been working for Alan for a long time.
"William Higgs, Charms Representative. I didn't want to choose a seventh-year student, as I know you're aiming for your N.E.W.T.s this year, but this subject is too critical. I believe teaching is its own form of revision. I trust you can handle it."
William nodded seriously; he didn't seem to mind the extra burden.
"Louis Orleton, Astronomy Representative."
"Vivian Bulstrode, History of Magic Representative."
"What?" Vivian was stunned. "How am I involved? Can I even do this with my grades?"
"Vivian, honestly, regarding History of Magic, no one in this House is more proficient than you. You are usually far too lazy. Now you must take responsibility. Your other subjects are lacking, so while you tutor your classmates in History of Magic, you'll be working hard on your own studies. I will not be making an exception for you this year, remember that!" Alan nagged her with earnest intensity.
Vivian looked as if she were about to burst into tears. How was it so difficult to be a simple slacker?
"Jenny Moriah, Muggle Studies Representative."
"Esther Lund, a sixth-year, Care of Magical Creatures Representative."
"Sophia Cech, a sixth-year, Divination Representative."
"Louis Orleton, Arithmancy Representative. No one in the House is more proficient in this, so I must ask you to serve two subjects simultaneously. Fortunately, this is an elective, so the pressure should be manageable."
Louis nodded. He mentally calculated the number of students who had chosen that elective and felt relatively confident.
"Finally..." Alan looked up at the crowd. "Defense Against the Dark Arts and Ancient Runes Representative—myself. I will personally guide the House in these two subjects."
Thus, ten Representatives were chosen for the twelve subjects, alongside the seven Grade Leaders. With three individuals overlapping roles, a total of fourteen people, including Alan, stood at the front of the hall. As Alan called each name, they appeared on the large screen, ensuring every student knew who to look to.
Alan motioned for the representatives to stand aside and continued with the proceedings.
"That concludes the organizational structure. Next, I will explain the second part: establishing strict disciplinary rules."
With a wave of his hand, the names on the screen shrank into a corner, and the words 'Disciplinary Rules' appeared in the center.
"Starting today, everyone must strictly adhere to the Slytherin Disciplinary Rules, divided into three major principles and four detailed regulations. The three major principles are: One, all actions must follow commands; Two, take the maintenance of Slytherin's honor as your personal responsibility; Three, maintain a proper attitude, be united, and respect one another. The four detailed regulations are: 1. Attendance, 2. Internal Affairs, 3. Daily Discipline, and 4. The Reward and Punishment System."
The young wizards had never seen anything so structured. Seeing Alan present so many rules so swiftly left them dazzled.
"From today onwards, your every word and action represents Slytherin. Maintaining our honor begins with obeying these regulations. I believe you are intelligent enough to understand the principles. Now, I will explain the details."
"Attendance means that for all future classes, meetings, and self-study sessions, you must be punctual. No being late, no leaving early. One act of laziness causes a chain reaction; I will be very strict on this."
"Internal Affairs means there are now standards for your dormitories, your attire, and your dining."
"In the dormitories, all beds, desks, floors, and wardrobes must be kept clean. Dirty clothes will be handled by House-elves, but your personal space must remain tidy."
*At least I haven't asked them to fold their blankets,* Alan thought to himself.
"Regarding attire, everyone must wear House robes during non-rest hours and keep them neat and wrinkle-free. Collars must be straight, and shirts must be tucked in. Except during the heat of summer, the top button—the 'discipline button'—must remain fastened. Sleeves must not be rolled up, ties must be straight, and school badges must be worn properly."
"When dining, do not waste food or play with it. Loud noise is prohibited in the Great Hall, and your area of the table must be kept clean."
"Daily Discipline applies to your free time. You must not violate school rules without reason, especially being caught by Professors or Filch. Observe daily etiquette: you must nod and greet school staff, including Filch, Hagrid, and Madam Pince. When walking, keep your chest out and head high. Walk in pairs, line up in threes, and no running in the corridors," Alan read out the rules with a poker face.
The young wizards looked at each other. This was far too strict. If they followed these requirements, most of them wouldn't last an hour.
"Finally, I am introducing an internal House point system for each year, with a maximum of 100 points, and a corresponding reward and punishment system. If you perform exceptionally, you will be rewarded. But if points are deducted," Alan sneered, looking mockingly at the crowd, "then you will accept the punishment. Don't worry, it won't be something low-level like cleaning toilets. I promise you won't want to experience what I have in mind."
Alan's chilling laugh made everyone shiver.
He reached out, and a large stack of booklets appeared in his hand. With a wave of his wand, they scattered, floating down to the crowd and landing precisely in each student's hand.
"This is the House handbook I compiled. It details every regulation. You must adhere to them. I will be watching you at all times," Alan warned in a low, cold voice.
