Chapter 1 - chapter one

The night I was born, the rain fell so hard it drowned out my first cry. My mum once told me that the lamps flickered like frightened stars, and the wooden door shook as if the wind wanted to come inside. But what she never told me, was that my birth wasn't the only thing the storm had come for.

My grandparents were there looking happy until they heard I was only a girl and suddenly their face went darkened, but that wasn't the worse of it, I was a twin my sister came out after me and then my grandparents became more disappointed.

The old grandma said something as she took one step back.

"this is the child from the prophecy" she whispered. " the one who will either save this kingdom....or break it." that was her belief for a twin girl.

From that night on, the twins was not raised as a princess, but a secret from the whole kingdom.

They did not treat us nicely but brutal, everyday I and my sister were constantly beating even to the point my dad shouted at the guards to stop. My parents didn't want this but they have to obey what their parents want according to their religion.

Because of this brutal life my sister became wide and wanted to get stronger and more powerful as for me I never had a purpose for myself all I know was that I'm on earth and one day I'll die, I couldn't talk, I just looked at the clouds all day wondering why my dad named me Cloud, and my sister the Ocean. I thought my life will end here but life has it way of shutting us up.

When Ocean and I were five, our two older brothers came to see us for the first time. They were smiling... wide, open smiles, smiles I have never seen before.

That night my father came up to us where they locked us up and took us in his arm and led us home, why? because our grandparents die that afternoon a mysterious death. The eldest was Phoenix. The other was Deva, his hair white as frost,

as if he has been touched by something not entirely Human.

They made me feel welcome...at least

Ocean burst with joy, laughing, smiling and clinging to them like they know each other all their life.

I just stood beside her ... still. Not because I don't want to laugh and experience joy, but because I don't know how. My father came shortly taking us in his arms and leading us to the mension because my grandparents died mysteriously.

But I found out it was my mother that killed them, she was tired of them giving her orders and how to live her life so she poisoned them and my father was on it.

Our house was huge, that's when I realized we were royalty and very wealthy, it didn't really moved me, my sister Ocean quickly bond in with the family, while I was her, couldn't even say anything, I felt small.

My mother tired to help, she always does even if it was hopeless, she will talk to me and say sweet words to me to get me to talk or laugh or smile, nothing was working.

one night when I was eight years my mother gave birth to another girl she was cute and soft, they name her Moon, I always look at the cloud because it makes me happy, how I wish I could smile or do an expression.

"Cloud means something extremely delicate and light, almost otherworldly, then it shift to intensity, power like emotions turning turbulent." my father always told me. My parents and siblings where so patient with me, that though is because of what I pass through and it was because of that, I thought I was not valued not even the slightest.

One day our kingdom was attacked, every wealthy kingdom comes with great responsibility and great enemies, an enemy came and burnt down our mension taking lives with it. They tried to take me too but I was stronger than them, I came out of the burning mension alive though I was burnt in my leg I survived.

"Cloud" my mum shouted "I will never forgive myself if something happened to you!" she said crying loudly.

I looked at her and tried to smile but couldn't and I hated myself for that. I kept Wondering if my smile is connected to how dangerous I'm going to be.
