Chapter 1 - CHEPTER 1 Siren: The Secret of the Ocean That the World Doesn't Know

What are these Sirens? (The Real Story of Sirens)

In old folklore, it is believed that male sirens, or mermen, are far more powerful and aggressive than female sirens. They can control storms at sea. If they take a liking to a human, they give them the ocean's greatest treasure—their love.

Interesting Fact:

It is said that male sirens rarely appear on the surface. They are only seen when the moonlight is extremely bright and when they encounter a human with a pure soul.

According to Greek mythology, sirens were magical beings whose enchanting voices could hypnotize sailors. People often think sirens are only female, but male sirens exist too—and they are even more powerful and majestic.

Appearance (Looks):

In the earliest stories, they were depicted as half-bird, half-human, but over time they came to be imagined like mermaids. A male siren, however, is incredibly muscular, with broad shoulders and a long, powerful tail. They are as dangerous as they are handsome.

When we hear the word "siren," we often picture beautiful mermaids, but in reality, they are far more dangerous and fascinating.

According to myths and legends, sirens are the ocean's magicians, whose voices have hypnotic power capable of making any human lose their senses. While most people assume sirens are female, the hero of our story, Osaidan, is a male siren—rare, powerful, and utterly

mysterious.

Build and Power of Male Sirens

Height and Personality:

They are not small like humans. A male siren's height is over 10 feet, with a body as hard and muscular as stone, able to withstand the pressures of deep ocean waters.

The Magical Tail:

Their tail is no ordinary fish tail. It's over 2 meters long, extremely strong, with scales that shine like diamonds under moonlight. One strike can even take down a shark.

Voice Magic:

When they sing or call, even the waves pause. Their voice strikes directly at the heart.

Why They Are Famous:

In ancient times, sailors feared sirens because they would lure humans with their beauty and voice, pulling them into the ocean's depths.

Famous Stories About Sirens

1. Christopher Columbus' Strange Encounter (1493)

Even the great explorer Christopher Columbus couldn't escape these creatures. In his diary, he wrote that near Haiti, he saw three "mermaids."

The twist? They weren't like the fairy-tale beauties we imagine. Their faces were somewhat human, and their bodies strong and rugged. Historians now believe Columbus probably saw male sirens or mermen, famous for their muscular builds. Even Columbus must have been stunned that day!

2. Henry Hudson's Dangerous Encounter (1608)

Famous sailor Henry Hudson once reported a very unusual creature in the icy Arctic seas. The upper body looked like a muscular human—like today's bodybuilders—with long, thick black hair flowing down his back.

But the lower half was like a porpoise—a massive fish tail. This remains one of the most credible accounts of a male siren. Hudson and his crew witnessed this incredible sight firsthand.

These stories show that the ocean hides mysteries beyond human understanding—and Osaidan is no different: powerful, muscular, and utterly mysterious.

Classic References

The Odyssey:

In this famous tale, King Odysseus knew that a siren's song could kill him. So he filled his sailors' ears with wax and had himself tied to the ship's mast. Only in this way could he survive.

The Little Mermaid:

Even though it's a story about a mermaid, the scene where the voice is taken away was inspired by the concept of the siren's hypnotic power.

Pirates of the Caribbean:

Movies also show sirens as dangerous and beautiful creatures, rising from the depths to destroy ships.

Secrets of the Deep

Sirens are considered protectors of the ocean's secrets. It's said that no one can reach the treasures of the ocean if a siren stands guard.

Danger and Love:

A male siren's love is intense. If he falls for a human, he would fight the entire world to protect them—but his love can also be possessive and deadly.
