Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The Grand Exhibition – The Unseen Martyr (Anjan Shaheed)

The city's largest art gallery was filled not with lights today, but with "glitches" that had changed people's lives. Vikram had poured all his hard work and passion into this exhibition. It was titled: "The Heroes of the Glitch: The Legacy of Sector 7."

The crowd was slowly growing. The city's top leaders, police officers, and common people were present. But Vikram's gaze was fixed only at the door. He hoped that Aryan and Sameeksha would definitely come to be a part of this moment.

The Walkthrough of Truth

The exhibition began with the blurry photographs Vikram had retrieved from the warehouse.

The First Frame: A photo of an old library bench, below which was written: "Where waiting took the form of love."

The Second Frame: Aryan's father's micro-cassette and his new identity card, with his name changed. Below it was written: "A hero lost his identity so that friendship could live."

The Centerpiece: The largest frame was the "Red String," which was kept in a glass case. Behind it was a photocopy of the same 'Day 1: Our Forever' sketch of Aryan and Sameeksha.

Vikram stood on stage and took the microphone. His throat was red. "I always thought I was a 'perfect' artist, but today I realized that a true artist is one who turns their life into a beautiful sketch for others. Aryan's father sacrificed his entire world to save my father. Today's exhibition is to give him back the respect that was taken from him 15 years ago."

The Unexpected Arrival (A Hair-Cutting Meeting)

Just then, there was a commotion in the crowd. Aryan, Sameeksha, and their young son were standing at the door. Aryan was wearing the same old woolen jacket, and Sameeksha's eyes had the same sparkle that used to be in the library.

Aryan came onto the stage and hugged Vikram. The entire hall erupted in applause. "Vikram, today you have shown my father a recognition I never could," Aryan said softly.

Sameeksha took Riya's hand, and together they pulled back the curtain from the last frame of the exhibition. It was empty. It only had a mirror. Written below it was: "The Next Hero is You."

The Final Resolution

After the exhibition, the city's Commissioner announced that Aryan's father would be awarded the President's Medal of Bravery (Posthumous). The stigma of "criminal" that had clung to Aryan's family was gone forever.

"So, what now?" Vikram asked, handing Aryan his old black diary back.

Aryan smiled and returned the diary to Vikram. "No, Vikram, this diary is yours now. You've written new kisses in its pages. My journey with 'Golu' is over, now your journey with 'Redemption' is the real story."

Riya showed her daughter Anya how a red thread connected them all. "The Red String Glitch" had now become a story that offered hope to every person who had strayed.

Epilogue: The New Legacy

The last bench in the library was now laden with flowers. Every year, on the day of 'Izhaar' fest, new lovers would come there and tie the red thread. Vikram picked up his camera and took a photo of Aryan-Sameeksha and their son, who were looking towards the horizon.

He wrote below the photo: "Day 1: The String never ends. It just finds a New Heart.
