Chapter 19 - The Serpent Strikes Back

The corridor of the Directorate facility had turned into a battlefield.

Broken walls, shattered lights, and burning sparks filled the hallway. The clash between dragon fire and serpent energy had left deep cracks across the floor.

At the center of the destruction stood Rudra.

Completely calm.

His crimson aura burned around him like living flames.

A few meters away, Aadhya slowly stood up again.

Her breathing was heavy, but her eyes were focused.

Behind her, the massive emerald serpent aura flickered like a guardian spirit.

Kabir groaned while getting up from the ground.

"Okay… I officially hate this guy."

Dev wiped blood from the corner of his mouth.

"That explosion was insane."

Sana stepped beside them, her eyes locked on Rudra.

"Stay focused. He hasn't even started fighting seriously yet."

Arjun also stood up, watching Rudra carefully.

Every instinct in his body was warning him.

This man was on a completely different level.

Rudra slowly looked around the destroyed corridor.

His expression almost looked bored.

"Is this the best the Directorate has?"

Kabir whispered to Dev,

"…can someone please punch this guy already?"

Dev smirked.

"Working on it."

Dev slammed his fist into the floor.

Stone erupted from the ground like a massive spear aimed directly at Rudra.

But Rudra simply lifted his hand.

Crimson flames appeared instantly.

The stone spear melted mid‑air.

Like it had touched lava.

Dev blinked.

"…okay that's not normal."

Rudra looked slightly amused.

"Earth manipulation."

He tilted his head slightly.

"Interesting."

Then he moved.

And in a single step—

He vanished.

Kabir barely had time to shout,

"WATCH OUT—"

Rudra appeared directly in front of Dev.

His fist moved like lightning.

BOOM.

Dev was thrown across the corridor and crashed into the wall.

The entire hallway shook.

Kabir's eyes widened.

"DEV!"

Sana rushed forward immediately, her speed almost invisible.

She launched a powerful kick toward Rudra's head.

But Rudra caught her leg effortlessly.

For a brief moment they stared at each other.

Then Rudra flicked his wrist.

Sana was thrown across the hallway like a ragdoll.

Arjun stepped forward instantly.

His hands glowed with energy as he launched a powerful strike.

Rudra blocked it with one arm.

The shockwave cracked the walls again.

Rudra looked mildly impressed.

"You're stronger than the others."

Arjun didn't reply.

Instead he attacked again.

The two exchanged several fast strikes.

Punch.

Kick.

Energy burst.

Each impact echoed through the hallway like thunder.

Kabir quickly raised a barrier around Dev and Sana.

"Please stay alive… please stay alive…"

Meanwhile…

Aadhya watched everything.

Her fists were clenched.

Her serpent mark burned hotter with every second.

She could feel something rising inside her.

Anger.

Determination.

And something else…

The serpent aura behind her began growing larger.

More solid.

More alive.

Rudra suddenly stopped fighting Arjun.

He stepped back calmly.

Because he felt it too.

The serpent power.

He turned slowly toward Aadhya.

And smiled.

"So the real fight begins."

Aadhya stepped forward.

The emerald serpent behind her rose high into the air.

Its glowing eyes stared directly at Rudra.

For the first time…

Rudra's crimson aura reacted.

Dragon fire burst around his body.

Kabir whispered nervously,

"…oh no."

Dev slowly stood up behind him.

"Yeah."

"This is the real battle."

Aadhya raised her hand.

Emerald energy gathered in her palm.

The serpent aura lunged forward like a massive spirit.

Rudra didn't dodge.

Instead he unleashed a wave of dragon fire.

The two ancient powers collided again.

BOOM.

The explosion shattered the entire corridor.

Smoke filled the air.

Metal doors were ripped from their frames.

Kabir's barrier cracked under the pressure.

When the smoke cleared…

Both of them were still standing.

But this time…

Rudra had moved back a step.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Interesting."

Aadhya's voice was calm but firm.

"Leave this place."

Rudra chuckled.

"You still think you can order me around?"

The dragon aura around him expanded again.

Heat filled the hallway.

The walls began melting.

Kabir yelled,

"WHY IS IT GETTING HOT?!"

Dev answered,

"Because that's dragon fire!"

Rudra slowly raised both hands.

Crimson flames spiraled around him like a storm.

"For centuries…"

he said quietly,

"…the Dragon Bloodline ruled the supernatural world."

The flames grew stronger.

"And now the Serpent Bloodline rises again."

His crimson eyes burned like fire.

"So tell me…"

He looked directly at Aadhya.

"Are you strong enough to challenge a king?"

Aadhya didn't hesitate.

The serpent aura behind her expanded even more.

Emerald light filled the entire corridor.

Her eyes glowed bright green.

"Let's find out."

Both ancient energies erupted at the same time.

Dragon fire.

Serpent power.

The entire facility trembled under the clash.

Deep inside the command center, Director Meera watched the battle through the security feed.

Her face was serious.

"Energy levels are rising too quickly."

A technician shouted,

"The facility can't handle this much power!"

Arjun's voice came through the communicator.

"We're trying to hold him!"

But Meera knew the truth.

If the fight continued like this…

The entire underground base might collapse.

Back in the ruined corridor…

Rudra blocked another serpent strike and slid backward slightly.

For the first time…

He looked genuinely excited.

"Excellent."

His crimson aura exploded outward.

"Now this is a real battle."

Aadhya stood firm.

The serpent spirit coiled around her like a guardian.

Because now…

The Dragon King and the Serpent Queen were truly fighting.

And the outcome would decide the fate of everyone in the facility.
