Semester exams were over.
Report cards had been handed out.
Summer vacation… had finally begun.

I opened my eyes slowly.
The ceiling.
The morning air felt a little chilly.

The futon next to me was already empty.
Folded.
Neatly.
I lifted my head a little.
Yuna.
She was sitting.
In front of the small table.
Still in her pajamas. Her hair wasn't brushed yet.
On the table, her report card lay open.
She was staring at it.
No wide smile. No over-the-top reactions.
But from the look in her eyes.
It was clear enough.
She was proud.

She didn't look back.
"What time is it?"

"…half past six."

I dropped my head back onto the pillow.
Still too early.
I shifted to my side, pulled the blanket up a little, and closed my eyes again.
