Dante looked at him for a long second. Then slowly lowered the phone.
Nicolas, who had been silent until then, finally spoke without lifting his gaze from the corpse. "He's right."
That made Dante turn.
Nicolas rose, expression unreadable. "If this is a small breach, we contain it." His eyes hardened. "If it's a nest…"
He didn't finish. He didn't need to.
Then Mateo turned toward Daniella, who still stood frozen with the bowl in her hands, pale and shaken, one hand hovering unconsciously near her abdomen.
"Miss," he said, his tone shifting back into command, calmer now. "Go back to your bedroom. Take your food."
Around them guards were already flooding in. Orders were being issued. The house was sealing itself shut.
